Fear [Levi X Reader]

Chapter 1

Author's note: Hi everyone!! I know this chapter's pretty short, but power through haha. I promise Levi shows up. ;) All chapters after this will be longer. I plan on updating this with a couple chapters per week, more or less depending on how you guys like it. Pleaseeee leave comments and suggestions!!

I was breathing heavily as I sat down at one of the Cafeteria tables, slamming my head down onto the wood in exhaustion. We had just finished our cadet training for the day, and let me tell you, it wasn't easy. Sarge had made us stand out in the burning heat trying to hit each other with wooden knives for the entire day, and if we had something to say about it, we had to run laps. Of course, I was one of the ones running.

"Hey (Y/N), you gonna eat that?" Sasha asked me, looking at my tray with drool practically dripping from her mouth. I rolled my eyes, pushing the plate toward her. "Just take it."

"Wait, seriously?!" She said, her eyes lighting up. "You're the best, (Y/N)!" She grinned. She took it immediately, starting to shovel food into her face. I giggled a little bit. It was kind of funny how Sasha was over food. You would think she hadn't eaten in years.

It wasn't long before a fight broke out within the cafeteria. Suprise, Eren and Jean were at it again. A few of the other cadets were egging them on, shouting things like "Fight!" and placing bets.

"How stupid do you have to be to think that you actually stand a chance against the titans?!" I heard Jean say as he slammed his hand down on the table. "Do you know how many people have died trying to fight them?!"

"I don't care! I won't stop until every last one of them is dead! Even if I die, I'm sure as hell going to die trying!" Eren retorted, his eyes blazing. At this point, everyone's attention was on them. "You just go make your horseface comfy in the capital! Leave the fighting to the real soldiers." Eren spat.

"Why, you-" Jean started to respond, but was interrupted by Mikasa, who tried to calm the two down. Jean sat back down, and I could swear I saw a small blush creeping onto Jean's face when he met her gaze.

"Jean might not have to go to the capital after all. He already looks pretty comfy with Mikasa!" I commented. A few laughs and snickers could be heard throughout the room, but Jean only glared at me, his face even redder from embarrassment. "Hey, watch it (Y/N)!" He grunted.

I grinned. Suddenly the door burst open, causing my (E/C) eyes to widen in surprise. Two people walked in. The first was a short, yet intimidating black-haired man, and the second was a girl with glasses and dark brown hair tied up into a ponytail. They both wore Survey Corps uniforms.

"What's going on in here?" The black-haired one asked, his cold glare passing over each of the cadets. I shrunk back into my seat when he looked at me. No one dared to say a word.
