NCR Base

Fourth of July Party

It had been several months since it was the battle of Hoover Dam, and the entire NCR base was celebrating the Fourth of July, they're victory, and Ranger Jaune Arc's birthday. Learning that the newest ranger to join the NCR was born on a national holiday made it extra special. To celebrate the occasion, they allowed him to have a few drinks, cake and a round at BS. The whole base was having a good time, and on one of the balconies of the base, a young ranger could be seen. This was Jaune Miles Arc, former heir to the Arc Clan of Arcadia, the last human colony of Remnant. After his disappearance at the age of ten when his mother was nearly assassinated, he had been disowned and was no longer a member of the clan. However, after entire sweeps of the planet had confirmed that he was nowhere to be found, she soon had started to worry. With his disappearance, she had become more ruthless when in combat and showed everyone never to mess with Clan Arc. No one knew that he had been sent to the world of Earth, a planet now long since scorched by the flames of war. He was raised by an ex NCR Ranger and Sniper, Boone, and was taught how to not only survive, but how to fight. Now he's the youngest ranger and serving proud and true. His arsenal includes a sniper rifle known as The Requiem, and a classic 10mm pistol known as the Ultimatum.

On the side of it were two of his favorite quotes 'A bullet is worth a thousand threats and I have twelve.' and 'Be Not Afraid of Any Beast, No Matter What The Size. When Danger Threatens, Wield Me, and I Shall See to Its Demise.' While he was leaning on the railing of the balcony, the door opened behind him, causing him to turn around and catch a beer bottle. The one who tossed it was Lieutenant Parker, another Young Ranger.

Parker: Hey Jaune.

Jaune: Hey Parker.

Parker: Why aren't you downstairs, enjoying the party?

Jaune: Eh, just needed the peace and quiet, 'sides, I'm hoping the start playing Sweet Caroline soon, it's one of my favorites.

Parker: Actually, there about to start playing it now. They're just waitin' for the birthday boy to show up.

Jaune: Thanks for tellin' me.

Parker: No prob man, what are friends for.

As he went downstairs into the base, he was greeted with several cheered as they handed him a glass and started to play the song.

Soon they began to sing along to the song. Each one with an arm slung over their shoulder and glasses raised high. That night was a night to remember for the 312th air company as they celebrated through the night, with fireworks going off into the night.
