"Ashley get your nose outta that book!" I heard my best friend, Cody exclaim as he tossed a pillow towards my head.
When it hit my head I let out a loud 'omph' as I dropped my book into my lap, quietly thanking myself for keeping the bookmark on the page."What do you want, Cody?" I squealed as another pillow came flying towards my head.
"Hasn't anyone ever told you that ignoring someone is rude?" He smiled innocently at me, sticking his tongue out. Rolling my eyes I placed my book on the nightstand beside my bed as I watched Cody squirm at the foot of the bed.
"You okay there?" I laughed as his eyes widened before he reached his hand behind his back. Listening to the light crinkling sound I raise my eyebrows, wonder filling my mind. Watching him pull out a once firm candy bar, which was now melting and deforming in his hand, his cheeks turned a bright red.
"Whoops," He mumbled at the warm chocolate sitting in his palm. My laughter filled the room as he stared at the chocolate bar.
"Whoops, indeed, my friend!" I laughed harder, my smile lighting up my face. Grabbing the deformed chocolate I set it on the nightstand beside my bed, chuckling at how deformed it really was.
"Stop laughing," Cody whined, his lips forming into a pout. His eyes widened as he gave me the puppy dog eyes.
"Don't you dare!" I warned, wagging my finger in front of his face. Staring at his puppy-dog look, I caved.
"Fine! Alright, alright," I watched as his once pouty face turned into a wide smile.
"I guess I won't laugh at you," I trailed off, patting his head. While I pat his head, I fluffed up his hair, causing him to glare at me.
"Haven't I told you enough times that I hate when people touch my hair?" He swatted my hands away as he reached up to fix his hair.
"Yep, but that doesn't mean I care!" I exclaimed, popping the 'p' when I said yep. I smiled innocently at him as I tilted my head to the side, trying to act all cute.
"Really now?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow at my childish ways.
"Don't judge me you,- you,- chicken nugget!" I threw my hands in the air, waving them around above my head. Cody chuckled at my insult.
"I'm highly offended to be a 'chicken nugget' Ashley," The sarcasm oozed off the tip of his tongue as he spoke.
"You should be, they're fatty and are made of nasty things," She made a disgusted face as she spoke.
