The storm started with a bang. Literally, the first thing was lightning and then it started to rain.

When the lightning hit I was on the couch in Travis's arms.

He curled into a tiny ball and cried

I tried to calm him down but it didn't work

So I thought and got an idea

I shook him a little to get him to unfold

When he did I pulled him up on to my lap and started

I pull away and sit my chin on his shoulder

I whisper in his ear "I meant every word cupcake."

He whispers back
