Prologue
"I could never have a mate that was as ugly or as heartless as you!" My mate, Conner, snarled at me. "I officially reject you as my mate, Analissa Monarch."
I stared in shock at the man I once loved. My eyes grew cold and my muscles tightened. "An I officially reject you Conner Matthews, but you will regret this. I know you will." I added the last part softly before turning and running away. Away towards my new life.
1 year later...
"AIDEN!!" I screamed as I woke up to being covered in green slime. "Shit!" I heard after someone tripped over a pile of books. I sat up and leaped onto Aiden's back. "GROSS!" He said as I shoved a handful into his mouth. "Well you shouldn't have..." "What's going on in here?" Dad's voice boomed from the doorway. "Aiden threw a bucket of slime on me daddy." I said with a few fake tears. "Aww come on! That's not fair!" Aiden says. My dad sent him out of my room and left himself while I showered.
I wam so nervous I could puke! It's been a year since I left my mate and former pack. We just received a call stating that they needed help and since I'm the next in line to be beta I have no choice but to go.
"Are you ready Lissa?" Matt asked from the other side of the door. I opened it and he did a wolf whistle before my dad smacked him on the back of the head. "Back off!" He growled before turning to me. "Must you Anna?" I nodded but gave him my best puppy dog face. "Fine!" He said. I smiled at him and ran over to slide down the banister. "Don't even think about it Anna!" He warned. I groaned and stomped down the stairs theatrically. "OFF TO NEVERLAND!" I screamed before running outside and leaping onto my motorcycle. "GOODBYE EVERYBODY!!! DON'T MISS ME TOO MUCH!!" I screamed to all the families that live in the house. I heard some people cussing and a couple threw their alarm clocks at me. I chuckled and drove away towards my doom. Not really. It just feels like it!
