Weird things. (Pernico fanfic) !!!!

Part 17: Diving in the river.

"Proceed to dive" The bell repeated.

"In the river of fire?" I scoffed.

"Proceed to dive."

"I don't think thats safe." Caleb said, now calm down about his toe.

"You don't say?" I sarcastically said

"Proceed to dive."

"You aren't going to dive." NIco said simply.

"Well the prophecy said that the bell will save us" I said.

"Proceed to dive."

"I don't know about that. It did take my toe, not eactly saving." Caleb grumbled.

"I'm going." I concluded.

"Proceed to dive."

"Then were all going." Nico crossed his arms.

"Angel, please you're safer out here." I groaned.

"Proceed to dive."

"I can take care of myself." He retorted.

"Yeah I can too" Caleb smirked.

"Proceed to dive"

"FINE!" I grumbled.

"We're going." Nico's lips went in a firm line.

"Yeah I know." I grabbed the bell and took Caleb's and Nico's hand.

"Proceed to dive."

"Ready?" Caleb smirked at us.

"Not really" Nico laughed chokily,

"Let's go." I squeezed both of their hands.

Then jumped in.

Warmth swarmed in a maddening way. It didn't burn us. It was hard to breathe. But I made this air bubble. Turns out I could still do that much.

"What do we do now?" My voice was muffled.

"The bell! Look at the bell!" Caleb shouted.

I looked at it. It was glowing a light blue. As the river moved us it glowed brighter.

"We move with the river." Nico observed.

"Yeah, I guess we do." I muttered.

Pictures started to form within the river. As we watched horrifyingly, the river formed a face with semi longish hair, plump lip, squinted eyes, and high cheekbones.

"Oh my gods that's Damon!" Caleb looked at us excitingly.

"Really? He's pretty handsome." I smiled at Nico.

"Wow guys just ignore the fact that Damon is hotter then hell." Caleb rolled his eyes.

"Pssh nothing will top Nico."

"Shut up, Percy" he said as he elbowed my rib.

"Guys look!" Caleb said, his voice troubled.

Another face began to form, one that looked exactly like Caleb's. His body appeared as we'll and in one hand held a bow and arrow at ready. And that Caleb let it go. It hit Damon's forehead in a sickening thump. Blood poured out of the wound while that Caleb looked at the body triumphantly.

"Damon?" Caleb croaked. He looked at me. Tears streaked his face.

"No, no no no." Caleb tried to let go of my hand.

"Caleb it isn't real! If you let go, you'll die." I shouted.

"Damon! Please get up Damon!" He screamed, pulling at my hand.

"Gods no please please gods no." He cried.

"Caleb.." Nico said.

"C'mon man it okay."

Then the images faded away. Letting the tide sift the pictures back into nothing.

And Caleb sobbed softly next to me.

"He only understood, he only understood me. He was the only one to love me. Not even my parents could do that much."

I didn't know what to do. So I did nothing and Caleb kept crying next to me, his tears hitting my hand.
