DON'T DO IT

I get up to the roof top and my long brown wispy hair floats in the breeze. I hear the beeping noise of car horns flow through the city. I see the lights of the buildings and people laughing down below me. I walk closer to the edge. I walk across the edge of the roof top. I think about my life and how there's never room for me. The only person that will ever miss me is my best friend Mia. I set my phone on the ground ready to leave it there but someone stops me.
Hey
I don't respond or bother to look behind me.
It's rude to ignore people you know. The person says to me.
Well I don't feel like having a chat right now I turned around and roll my eyes.
Why's that?
Doesn't it seem obvious what I'm about to do? I question the figure in the distance.
Well I'm not letting you do it.
I laugh, and fold my arms. Why would you care?
Because you're taking your life away from you.
Oh well done, I say in sarcasm.
What's your name? The person asks.
Riley. Riley Stone.
Nice name he smiles. I'm Grayson he says and holds out his hand.
I shake it and turn away.
You don't have to do this you know?
I know...I sigh.
So why are you?
Because I have nothing left.
You have me. He smiles.
I laugh again, you don't know me.
Well I could get to know you. He raises an eyebrow.
Bit too late for that one Grayson.
No it's not, he takes my hand and leads me away from the edge.
What are you doing? I question him.
I'm showing you what you'll miss. Follow me.
