One morning, I decided to ask her, "Are you new here?"
She then looked at me, as if startled I spoke at all.
"Um, yeah," she said as she tucked a loose curl of her hair behind her ear.
I tried not to directly stare at her. She was pretty, and I'm not sure how I didn't notice that before.
