Chapter 2

Jane

"So what's first?" I ask. "Did you already set everything up?"

"Yeah." Nessa says. "Our name is undecided though."

"What about..." Summer mutters. "I don't know."

"Well, if the goal is to be like MagCon, we should just be like MagCon." I say.

"Yeah, but we can't just rip off their name..." April murmurs.

"What about something like, FabCon?" Summer asks. "It's like a girl version of MagCon."

"Oh my gosh, that's perfect!" I squeal.

"These two weeks are going to kill me, I swear." Nessa says.

Mack shifts on the floor. "Nessa, now can the rest of us get ready, bathroom hog?"

She giggles. "Yes, you may."

I get changes into a pink crop top and white lace high waisted shorts. I slip on Vans to match my shirt.

When I get back into the bedroom, I see Mack in a peach crop top, April in a Nirvana shirt, and Summer in a crop top that says "Meow."

"This kinda makes no sense though." I say, looking in the mirror. "We're called 'FabCon' but we're not actually a convention."

"You're right." April says.

"We are kinda reaching far." Nessa says. "We should just make personal Vines and stuff, then."

"Yeah." I say. "We can always expand in the future."

"Okay." Summer states. "Do you guys wanna go penny boarding? Jasmine is going with her boyfriend and some other girl. She says we can meet her there."

"Call her and tell her we will be there." Mack replies. She pins a white bow in her hair and slips on peach Vans.

April ties up her grey Vans and says, "I haven't seen your sister in a while. This should be fun."

"So does everyone have their Vans on?" Nessa asks.

Summer shoves her feet into her aqua ombré Vans. "Yep." She answers. "Let's go."

"Hey, Jas." Summer says. "Where Caleb?"

"He's not coming." Jasmine says, and hugs Summer hello. "But my other friend is."

"What's her name?" April asks, after saying hello.

"Mahogany." She answers. "She's in the bathroom."

"Wait, wha-" Nessa asks, before being interrupted by me screaming.

"MAHOGANY?" I scream. "AS IN MAHOGANY LOX?"

"Yeah, I guess she's kinda famous-" Jasmine starts.

"OH MY GOSH, WHERE IS SHE?" We all scream at the same time.

"She's just in the bathroom!" Jas frantically yells.

"WHICH ONE?" I scream, turning my head back in forth and searching for a red haired person.

"Just, um, over there!" She yells, under pressure. She points to a brick building.

I scream, and run as fast as I can into the bathroom. All of the girls follow me.

We wait outside the door, with huge smiles. Someone walks out, and we scream.

"AHH!" The elderly woman who just walked out yells.

"Sorry, wrong person." We say as innocently as possible.

"Guys, don't scream." April says.

The next person comes out.

And it's Mahogany. We scream.

"We're um, we're Jasmines friends and um, oh my gosh, YOURE MAHOGANY LOX!" I exclaim.

"Okay, okay, girls, I'm only human." She states, trying to collect herself.

"Oh, sorry, it's just not everyday you see someone from MagCon." Mack says quietly.
