Okay, so I volunteer at the zoo closest to my house, and today I was teaching people about Lions okay?
Well, this little girl asked me the weirdest question,
Why do lions have legs and not arms?
So I was there and being like, 'what the heck, why would someone ask me a question like that?'
So I was just standing there all like (0.0;)
Then her dad is all like, 'Don't worry you don't have to answer that.'
And I just smiled at them and nodded my head then they left. But I was just so confused as to WHY WOULD THEY ASK A QUESTION LIKE THAT?!
Anyway, that was one of the things that happened.
Another one was that I'm Hispanic, I look like it, but I don't speak Spanish I'm taking a Spanish class at the moment, but I only know so much... So I'm just so awkward when people who only speak Spanish start talking to me because they immediately think that I speak Spanish too, and it doesn't help that my name is a Spanish one. Sorry if this is offensive to anyone. I'm just ranting about my day.
Alright next thing, so I show people like what the skull, claws, and of a lion and I always, ALWAYS GET ASKED THESE QUESTIONS, WHETHER IT BE AN ADULT OR CHILD,
Them: Are these real?
Me: *smiles* No, they're just replicas
OR
Them: *thinks that the stuff is real* Did you get these from a dead lion/ other animals(I can teach people about different animals besides just lion)?
Me: *slowly losing sanity from being asked this question SO MANY TIMES, but smiles and look like I'm still sane* No, they're just fake
They react two different ways to my answer:
Them: *sounds disappointed* Oh
Me: *inside head* WTF IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE
Or
Them: *sounds relieved* Oh okay.
Me: Yeah, don't worry, we wouldn't do that to our animals
But today is my friends birthday and her party was great
