Two Worlds Meet

Chapter Twenty: Saying Goodbye...

Eve walked for about three hours until she dropped Max, "Cha-Cha find us some herbs and blue mushrooms! Kyamba you must find some honey!" said Eve pointing at the two brothers. "Ok-k Minion me find-find these items for you-you," Cha-Cha said running off. Kyamba was still sitting there mumbling about a golden mask, Eve then yelled at Kyamba saying "Were you even listening?!" Kyamba stood up running around in circles saying, "S-sorry Minion me get honey now!!" Running off into the opposite direction away from Cha-Cha.

Eve felt the two brothers were acting weirder than normal. About thirty minutes later they came back with herbs, blue mushrooms and honey. "Right let's get makin' this Mega-Potion," she said picking up all of the ingredients (being a gunner her combining skills were pretty good). In no time the Mega-Potion was made, she fed it to Max, then he woke up and said "Ahh my leg..." his leg was still broken but after taking a few sips the pain numbed. "You'll need a doctor to fix that!" Eve said packing up, "No! We need to run away from the Guild!" said Max coughing "We'll go up north. To Wycam Village. You can tell the chief there what happened I'm sure she'll understand!" Eve said helping Max to his feet, "Fine, but call me Rook there, please!" Max replied.

They were about to get going when Cha-Cha and Kyamba said "Sorry minions we go-go no further..." Eve looked at them and asked "Why? We- I mean, I love you both." then the two brothers told Eve and Max "We must-must search for ultimate mask all sparkly and shiny-shiny!" Cha-Cha and Kyamba seemed excited to go on their new journey. "It be-be better Minions we go-go now!" the brothers said, "F-fine please, be safe now..." Eve replied looking sad but proud. While all of this was happening Max felt something he hadn't felt in a long while; emotions (other than anger) he felt proud of the two brothers and also joy for the two finding their purpose but he didn't say anything.

Cha-Cha and Kyamba headed off waving goodbye to their friends, it was an emotional moment for everyone; especially for Eve.

After the two brothers disappeared into the dense green forest Max and Eve headed off to Wycam Village. It took them a day to even get to the bottom of the mountain (Wycam Village was about an hour walk still), "Phew, how much longer?" Max said, "Not much further now!" Eve replied skipping around in circles, "Easy for you to say you haven't got a broken leg!" Max said sounding tired. He was also carrying some items Eve had found; bones, bugs and different types of ores, "Anyway 'Rook' why do these men want you?" Eve asked while looking Max in the eyes, "There was a man who I met; called Lance I think he's alive I don't kno-!" Max was about to finish when Eve interrupted and said "So you did kill someone. I thought the rumours were true!" Max didn't know what to say he was tongue-tied.

Eve looked at him and at the snowy floor and said: "It doesn't matter; we all have killed just some attack the animals!" Eve was known to say things with many meanings but even Max couldn't understand what she meant for once.

Then they heard a voice, "Trespassers Stop!" Max and Eve couldn't see who it was but they also heard a cat hissing and saying "Don't move purr!" Max thought he had heard that cat before but he couldn't think of when or who. Suddenly a bug came zooming past; it nearly took Max off his feet because how fast it was going.
