"What would your good do if evil didn't exist, and what would the earth look like if all the shadows disappeared?"
-The Master and Margarita

I left my house kissing my dad goodbye. As I walked down the stairs I look up. Rain trickles down my cheek and I begin to walk to school. I continue my walk; I pass a woman, a child, two squirrels and plenty of trees. It's the same old boring day. Nothing to change the dirty ground or green grass, it was all the same. After a while something caught my eye. A woman with bright blood red hair is at the end of the street. Where I stand she appears to have fallen or possibly sitting down. I continue to walk until I approach her. Cautiously I slow my pace down and as I'm about to pass her speaks to me.
"I'm worried." She says
"Are you okay?" I say putting my bag down.
"You don't seem like you..."
"Can I help in anyway?"
"I'm scared." She says
"You seem to be disengaged from the world, do you need to talk to someone."
I get no response
"Are you okay?" I ask puzzled now
"Sweetie hurry on to school. Please. Now." She says straight forwardly.
Grabbing my bag and walking quickly away I realized the woman had not shown her face which I found strange, but didn't bother to turn back. I keep walking, nothing else happens really. Other than a black car nearly hitting me; I'm fine. I eventually get to school and walk inside. The day goes on, but I can't stop thinking about the woman. Should I have done something, maybe I could have helped. What if she's dying, or possibly dead? That woman was also so strange, blood red hair, a strange tone of voice. Maybe it was good I didn't stay. The bell rings and I pack my stuff to leave. I walk, and walk until I'm at my street, finally home from a crazy day. I approached my house and a shudder comes over me. A cold hand grabs my shoulder and slowly dropped down my back and fell to the ground. I screamed and jumped stumbling down. I eventually have the courage to stand up and turn around. What I see blows my mind makes my heart skip a beat. The woman lay there on the ground.
"Mam...?" I say stuttering
"I'm, I'm so sorry." She mumbles
"No, no its ok, but the real thing is are you ok?"
"Honey, do you have a minute?"
I look back at my house. It's only 10 seconds away, if anything happens I'll be ok.
"Oh of course..."
"What would you say if I were to tell you that this was the last time you would ever see me. Would you ask me why or would it make you cry could my words really sting? If I said that I didn't belong and this was the only way. Would you say I was wrong and help me see you another day? But you have nothing to fear my end turn is not yet here."

".....I would ask why..?" I say more scared than ever
"I see but wouldn't it be nice to be able to keep the innocence of youth flowing continually in our veins to be able to reach out and seize the day to take perpetual joy in something so simple as wishes and laughter sunrises, new smells, birds singing, ocean swells, experiencing it all for the first time as if looking through the eyes of a child."

"It is very pleasant... mam... I should probably go... I uh have homework"
"Oh of course I'm not going anywhere."
