When love strikes [on hold]

Hospital

- Rainbow Blitz POV -

"Yup were ok... I think I need to *cough*" dash said before she passed out. She fell into me and I caught her.

"Oh my celestia!! What happened to her!" Elusive said. "She passed out! What do you think?!" I yelled at him. I took off my jacket and put it on her then picked her up bridal style. "Come on, the smoke must have taken its toll on her!! We have to get to the hospital!!" I yelled as I started flying.

How did this happen. She shouldn't have gone in there without someone else. She could have gotten hurt. I got to the hospital and yelled for nurses and doctors. "Stay here!! We're gonna do everything we can!" A nurse said as she ran off with doctors into a room.

"What happened?!" I yelled. "Sugercube calm down." AJ said grabbing my shoulders. "What. Happened." I said in a low tone.

"Me and AJ were looking around when ah saw this building on fire and heard a kid yelling for help. We knew that we could get help and that we needed somebody to help us. So ah went to look for dash because she's the smallest of us and she was the only one that could get through the window that we found." Applejack explained.

"And ah gave her mah bandana to use so smoke wouldn't get in her lungs as much but she must have given it to the kid or somethin 'cause she didn't have it." AJ said as he sat down.

"Do you think she will be ok?" Butterscotch said in a whisper while she was hugging a crying Fluttershy. "That, I can tell you now." A nurse said appearing behind Butterscotch.

"Is anyone her family?" The nurse asked. "No" pinkie pie said. "What about boyfriend or girlfriend?" The nurse asked. Everyone looked at me. I raised my hand and she waved her hand telling me to follow her.

We got to a room and she started to talk, "ok miss dash is currently in surgery due to a price of glass getting stuck in her left abdomen. She also has a collapsed lung along with a few cuts on her face. They should all heal fine except the one on her right cheek it may leave a scar." She said as she flipped through her clipboard.

"How long until she is out of surgery?" I asked hoping it wouldn't be long. "She should be out any minute." She said smiling. "I will let you know when she is out." And with that she walked off and disappeared around a corner.

I started to walk back to my friends and told them what happened. Pinkie started crying and her hair deflated applejack lowered her hat covering her face probably to cry. Rarity started crying and started hugging Elusive and he was crying but very slightly. Fluttershy was crying harder and twilight just stood there in shock. The guys just looked at me in disbelief.

"Excuse me, mr. Blitz, miss Dash is out of surgery. She is still not awake but you may see her." A nurse said entering the waiting room and approaching us. "Oh..ok. Thank you." I said. The nurse nodded and motioned for me to follow her and led me to a room on the 3rd floor.

    "I'll give you your privacy." The nurse said then turned and walked off. Do you know that feeling of when something or someone you love is at their worst and all you want to do is see them the way they were before. That's all I want to see right now.

    I know I'm not the type to be sappy and neither is dash but. When we're alone at the house just me and her no scoots or roll, just us. All we do is cuddle talk or watch T.V while cuddling.

    One of us will be cooking while the other comes into the kitchen and just hugs the other or kisses or something. I've always said that action speaks greater volumes than words and what dash did sure spoke volumes.

    Anyway I went over to dash's bed and sat down next to her and just.. I couldn't take it anymore. I cried. Not the crying that you do out of sympathy or anything like that. It was crying out of love.

    And I know that it's weird to say that considering that our relationship started out of a dare. But it turned into something that is genuine and real. Something that you hear in fairytales.

I don't know how long I stayed in dash's room. I must have fallen asleep because I was woken up by a nurse. "I'm sorry to bother you but I just need to fix rainbow dash's IV." She said. I got up and moved out of the way so she could fix dash's IV.

Once she was done she left and I sat back down and looked at dash. Shouldn't she be awake already. I was about to go and find a nurse when dash's heart monitor slowed down. What's happening?!

    I ran out of her room and saw a few nurses at the end of the hall talking. "Somethings happening. Dash's heart monitor is slowing down!" I yelled. At my words the nurses cane running towards me with worried looks on their faces.

    They rushed passed me and into dash's room. When I got there after having to run after them I saw them standing there. The all looked at each other and nodded.

    One of the nurses looked at dash and then at her heart monitor. "What's happening?" I asked becoming more confused. They just ignored me and checked dash's chart that was at the end of her bed. "What's going on?" I asked a little bit louder.

    They still ignored me. I knew she wasn't dead there was still a heart beat being detected on her heart monitor. Then a doctor walked in. A nurse walked up to him and said something in an inaudible whisper.

    "Mr. Blitz it appears that she has slipped in a, coma. We're not sure why or how. But it is what appears to have happened. We're gonna do tests to give you an estimation of how long it may last but, there's no guarantees that she will wake up." The doctor said and then walked out with the nurses following behind.

    ~ time skip ( only a few hours ) ~

    "So your sure it will last that long?" Dusk asked me one last time. "That's what the doctor said. She said because of the injury's it was her body doing that so it could heal. And she said it would last a week. and since she's the doctor that's what I'm gonna believe." I said looking down.

    We were all in dash's room. Some standing. Others sitting and some pacing. "Darling I think we should take shifts of who's here. That way someone is always with her. And so we can all rest after what has happened." Rarity said in a shaky voice.

    "Yea, that's a good idea. I have weekends off at the HQ so I'll take weekends." I said as I looked at the group. "I can take Mondays" Fluttershy and Butterscotch said together. "Ah can take Tuesday's it's Big Macs and maceriana's day for the market." Applejack and AJ said. "I will take wensday's" Rarity and elusive said.

    "I can take Thursday's" pinkie and berry said. "And I will take Fridays" dusk sand twi said. "Alright well it's Saturday so my shifts first I suppose." I said. My friends all nodded and said their goodbyes to me and dash and then left.

    Please dash you have to wake up... Please.....
