"Perfect" Taylor said to herself as she stood back and observed her party setup along side her assistant. Metallic gold stars seeped out of the ceiling by transparent wires and finger foods covered the large dining room table at the other end of the house. Guests would be arriving at any minute so it was time for Taylor to get ready. "Did you already lay out the outfit I told you on my bed?" she asked her assistant, Skye as they walked to the elevator. "Yeah, it's all set up. Did you need me to call Mikey for makeup?" "No I can do it myself. Thanks though! Hope you can make it tonight, Skye" "I'll let you know but thanks for the invite. Good night!" Skye responded waving as the elevator doors closed. In her room, Taylor found her outfit laid out as Skye had told her. A black circle skirt coupled with a black long sleeved crop top lay on her bed and her black oxford Red Bottoms sat on the floor below. Excitement rushed through her as she showered, lathering her body in a floral scent, until suddenly she realized she had forgotten to invite Karlie.
After three swift knocks at the door, Candice answered almost immediately. "Hey!" she said pulling Karlie into a hug. "Wow you look soooo good." she said standing back to examine Karlie's black leather skinny jeans, white strapped leotard top and white heels. "Not compared to you guys!" she retorted with a smile on her face as she realized that both Candice and Lily had on black dresses. "Okay what ever let's have the Compliment War later guys. Let's get to this party" Lily said pulling both of them out of the door by their wrists.
As they walked off of the elevator, all three girls were stunned by the dozens of people that littered Taylor's penthouse apartment. Some were obviously already drunk, while others laughed loudly in conversations on the loving room couches. When she turned around, Karlie saw that Lily and Candice had already disappeared into the party. Unsure of where to go, she spotted Taylor at the pool table in the distance, watching from a stool as a few of her guy friends argued about a shot. "Hey Karlie, you made it! I'm so glad. I totally forgot to tell you about the party" Taylor said as Karlie was approaching her. She was only about 10 feet away from her but she could already smell the vodka on her breath. "I hope you don't mind, Candice and Lily invited me" "No, not at all!" Taylor replied as she got off of the stool, a cup in one hand, and slithered her free hand around Karlie's waist. They began to walk through the dancing crowd, cologne perfume, sweat and alcohol burning through the apartment's air as music blanketed the atmosphere. As they arrived at the bar in her kitchen, Taylor poured a shot for Karlie. "Here you go" she said with a smile as she held the shot to Karlie. "I've actually never had a drink before..." "What? Aren't you 21?" Taylor asked astonished. "Yeah, I've just never had one". With an extra arch in her eyebrow peeking through her freshly cut side bang, Taylor handed Karlie the shot then poured one for herself. "Here's to firsts!" Taylor said with a grin as they clanked their shot glasses and downed the vodka. After a matter of minutes, one shot turned to an uncountable amount (by their drunken standards) and soon enough, visions were blurred and words were slurred as the two ventured through the night in intoxicated bliss until Karlie's simple question in Taylor's room made her world spin a bit faster in the moment: "Have you ever done this....?"
