Your mind was clouded with one question that made you think twice about your actions.

Is it worth helping if the world is getting worse as the days go by?

You would always ask yourself that before you went out on your nightly routines. Seems like getting new scars is adding up to your unanswered thoughts. You get hurt by protecting the weak, but the world around you is slowly crumbling from the villains rising from the shadows.

Your facial expression was visible as you were running with Soldier 76, focusing on the road ahead of you. Seems like it was forever until you both arrived towards a building that seems to still be renovating. Soldier 76 enters and holds the door for you. Your thoughts were still distracting you as you didn't want to meet anybody and get attached if you didn't want to continue your 'heroine' ways. "I have changed my mind. . ."

As the words slid through your mouth, Soldier 76 stared at you. Not knowing what expression he had since his red visor was blocking almost his entire face, you can tell he was slightly shocked by the way his eyebrows were arched. "Changed your mind? Why is that soldier?"

Under your mask, you bit your lip as another unanswered question entered your head. You stood there, debating rather to run off or just continue staring at Soldier 76's visor. The silence only caused him to shake his head. "Listen, how do you sleep at night knowing that you helped a whole town from danger?" Your eyes widen at his question. Something about that question caused goosebumps to form around your body. It felt good once you helped the people from Dorado. It made you feel satisfied, it's just your doubts that make you say otherwise.

"I. . .I love the feeling of helping others but it bugs me how it doesn't do anything to stop the crisis from ending." You removed the mask that covered your mouth and inhaled the fresh air. Soldier 76 stood there, not sure what to do next. He thought for a bit, thinking of a way to convince you to stay. "It may not do something now, but it will help with the future."

"I am sorry, I can't do it." You felt a strong grip on your shoulders that caused you to hold still. You feared that if the slightest you tried to move, it will cause you pain. "What's causing you to run?"

You bit the inside of your cheek, both the unsatisfied thoughts and fear grew within you. You let out a restrained sigh as he loosened his grip on your shoulders. "I don't want to get attached. . ." A soft click was heard beside you and when you turned, your eyes widened at the view of the maskless man.

The man turning out to be one of your missed idols, Jack Morrison. He stared into your (Eye Color) eyes and you couldn't help but blush in embarrassment from how you acted around him. "J-Jack Morrison?!"

Having your hero this close to you made you feel weak. You felt like his daze could suffocate you if he stared at you any longer. He set a hand under your chin and held it there. The gesture made you blush and you removed your hood. The scars on his face made you wonder what happened to him exactly, it made you worry. "Listen to me (Code Name). . ."

The sound of your codename made you blush. You closed your eyes and moved away from his touch. Something about Jack made you think over your doubts. "You can either come in and meet the other agents, grow accustomed to them, and help us make the world a better place, or you can go back to Dorado, suffer the consequences of your choices, and stick around for helping the needy without any progress. . .The world needs more hero's like you."

You gripped your arm, rethinking your thoughts. As much of an honor it is to finally meet your hero, he is also causing some unwanted stress to grow within your sore body. This is slowly going to make you go crazy. Finally done with debating, you have made your choice. "Alright, I will meet the agents but I am not sure if I will join."
