He didn't know who he was. He didn't know where he was or what he was doing. All he knew was that by the time he got to his house, his heart had been completely stained and shredded. He slammed the door and ascended the stairs, going into his bedroom. All he could think about was how awful he had felt at the table. How vulnerable and abandoned. But he didn't do anything, couldn't really. As his father told him about starting a new life with a different woman, he just sat there with his arms folded over his chest, starring at his father and the woman that had her hand on his forearm. He couldn't believe his dad. He could not believe that his dad was reasy to get married. Not so soon after his mother left for Europe and didnt come back.He didn't even know that he was dating someone, let alone this P.O.S.

He knew what he had to do. He had to leave. He couldn't look at his father in the face because that meant that there was a chance thst they could rectify the situation. Find a solution other than this one. He did not want to end up living in a house with his dad and her. He knew that this awful woman would be around now that they had been introduced and he just didn't want to see her. He didn't want her to talk to him him or ask him how his day was when he came home from classes. He didn't want her being concerned for his safety when he got home from a party that he was out at.he didn't want her even making food for him or his dad. He liked the way things were. They weren't the best situation but it was better than this new change. He didn't want her trying to replace his mother's affection.

His mother had left a little over a year ago. She said she was going on a business trip and that she didn't know when she would be getting back. Obviously, it was a hell of a long convention.
