[ This place is fascinating... ]
I woke up from my cosy bed lined with linen sheets, I glanced over at the mechanical timepiece hanging from the wall. It was 9 in the morning. I peeked out of the window, spotting an amazing sight. The streets were filled with many people and merchants peddling their goods. I jumped out of bed and picked a fresh change of clothes from my inventory. My inventory system is amazing. I had an endless list of items. It was just as if I had manipulated the data of this "game". Everything was so game-like, except the fact that I could feel pain.
I stepped out of my dim room, two men were standing outside. They were the same people who had thrown me into an underground cell back in the castle. "What do you want?" I demanded. They approached me slowly, but this time, they looked more relaxed and friendly. One of them spoke up, "Hey, morning, we just wanted to check on your well-being." I lowered my guard and gestured them into my room. I sat on the only wooden chair that was present inside my room, they both then handed me a shiny box and requested me to open it. Unaware of the threat inside the box, I took it and unclamped the lock, slowly lifting the top up...
[ It was a trap. I fell for it, the magic drew me in and within moments, I shrunk in size and was trapped inside the box. ]
I could hear the men's wicked laughter as they slowly closed the top of the box.
I guess I will just try using the teleport spell again. I muttered the spell under my breath, in seconds, I ended up in another town. I was free from the spell. The skills I had were insane, they were too overpowered for anyone to possess them, and if it got into bad hands, things would escalate into chaos. This time, with the knowledge of this world, I made my way towards the entrance of the castle towering the entire town. I found myself surrounded by guards after I tried to get close to the castle gate. "Again..." I was about to unleash the ultimate combat spell I had picked up yesterday but consequences immediately flashed through my mind. "I should try to control myself, because I would never die" I thought to myself.
One of the men approached me, his face was lined with grey facial hair, he looks a little over 50. "Young man, the castle is out of bounds to unauthorised visitors, do you have any business here?" I told him that I wanted to ask about this country and the people, he pulled me away from the crowd into an isolated alley.
"I see, you've been forced to come here after the people of Arkos tried to wrongfully imprison you again for ransom." He continued with his talk. The country I arrived at was in an active conflict against the country of Arkos. The old man then gave me directions to a nearby building, called the "Guild Center" where different adventurers of the country gather around to hangout and take up quests.
I was walking to the Guild Center when I heard a piercing sound fill the air. "Enemies!" One of the guards on patrol near me shouted. I tried to grasp the situation and immediately teleported to the area of incident which was indicated on my map. "Amazing..." There was an army of at least 5000 troops flooding the front gate of the city. With the situation and threat clear in my mind, I didn't want to attract attention, instead, I used a buff and defense spell on the guards that were confining the attack. There was enough of them to hold the invaders back. I withdrew into an aerial position, overseeing the sight of conflict.
