Tyler's P.O.V
I awoke for the 5th time tonight from a night terror.
'Damn I thought these were over!' I thought. But of course nothing lasts forever.
Still exhausted I tried to turn over and go back to sleep since it was still 2 in the morning. But just lying there sleep wouldn't come. I dragged myself out of bed and threw some sweatpants on not even bothering with a shirt, I stepped out the back door of my dorm and ran. No clue where I was going, I just ran. Running is my only vise. The only thing that keeps me sane from the blinding images of the past. I run and run till I'm in the middle of town not sure exactly where I am. But it doesn't seem to shake the images out of my head. Doc said about a year ago when i first saw him, that i have PTSD. It's my subconscious replaying the memories over and over still processing them not quite ready to finally except the fact that it was real. But I don't remember the incident ever being this bloody or bad. I decided to run more. I'd run till the images couldn't keep up. I ran until the sun started to peak above the horizon the golden rays hitting the rooftops and cascading over the town bathing it in a warm golden glow.
I ran the same route until I just couldn't go on any further running. The images still fresh in my mind as if I were still dreaming. I groan loudly in exasperation.
'Why am I being haunted by the past! These dreams stopped 5 weeks ago. Why did they start coming back now?'
It seemed every time I'd get rid of them they came back worse than the last time. I turned to the brick building beside me and started to throw punches at it. One right after than the other. Left. Right. Then left again. Soon blood started to flow out of my hand and down my arm. I welcomed the pain as a friend, or even as a brother. But I didn't stop punching. The rough brick grating a layer of skin away each time my fist made contact. The images clinging to me with all there worth. They just wouldn't leave. I gave up and slid down the wall so I was slumped against against the building, my chest pounding.
I gave into the memories. I didn't even try to resist them anymore. As more of my precious time (since id have to run all the way back to the school and change) past by, The memories faded as I welcomed them into my stone heart. Enough was enough. I have been such a stone person that not only can nothing get in my heart but the hurt and the pain are stuck inside. It was time to feel again.

I didn't even bother to change out of my sweaty pants. I decided on a dark red T-shirt. I headed to English. We have block schedule so I had no idea what to expect.
As I walked in I feel a pair of eyes on me. I look up and stare right back into the searing blue ones I saw yesterday. I didn't realize I was walking towards her till my leg hit her desk.
'Play cool Tyler' I tell myself.
"Every one take your seats!" Mr Painter yells across the room saving me from having to explain myself. Most likely directed at me. I take my seat that's right behind her. Her red hair looks deceiving or almot hypnotizing. I could stare at them and get lost in all the curls.
Blair's P.O.V
'Why does he stare at me like that?' It was like I'm his everything or some how he's under a trance. Every time he looks at me, that one look feels like a life time. I squirm under his gaze. He doesn't seem to take notice. Tessa one of my few close friends slips me a note.
I unfold it to reveal a question saying
"You up for Troy's Party?"
I flipped the small piece of lined paper to write,
"You know i don't go to those anymore. And Troy's are always the wildest. So I think I'll pass."
I toss it on her desk. She discreetly swipes it into her hand and looks at it under the desk. She looks up at me with the puppy look that has never failed her.
"I don't even know what I would wear?!" I whisper to her.
"That's easy. I'll bring some outfits over once i look through your closet and see you really don't have anything. And tell your mom your sleeping at my house. You're going and that's final." She gave me no room left to argue. I huffed and whispered
"fine..." She grinned back at me.
I suffered from boredom the rest of the day.
When the dismissal bell rung, I sprung to my feet and out the door. As I neared my car I see Tessa some how managed to beat me and is leaning against my car.
"So when does the party start?"I feign boredom.
"8".
On the way to my house the car was deadly silent which is scary because Tessa is one of the most talkative people I know.
TIME SKIP.
She takes a step in my closet to see my dad's boxes stacked in the back. She skims the clothes. To find 'like I said' there was nothing to wear at a party like Troy's.
