"That guy doesn't deserve someone like you." Ryan's words kept replaying in my mind.

Why? Why did he have to break up with me? Why did he come two hours late on a date just to break my heart? Why did he wait for almost a year before telling me that he didn't even want me? Why? A million unanswered questions flooded my brain. But most of all-- Why do I feel this strong, strange passion of seeking revenge?

I got up from my bed, deciding that I won't let this break-up destroy me. I would seek revenge if that's what it takes to prove to everyone that I wasn't that easy to break.

"Hey, Jules. How are you coping?" Nadine asked, entering the living room.

It's great to have Nadine by my side. Not only is she my best and only friend but she knows just the words that would make me feel better. She also shares the same flat as me since the flat was too big for either of us, we decided to share it instead.

"I've never felt better. In fact, I've never felt this happy ever. Why don't we go shopping?" I asked her. She gave me a baffled expression but she knew that she just had to go along with it.

"Are you sure you're feeling alright? You've never liked shopping before?" She asked, just to clarify.

"I'm perfectly sure. In fact, I'm throwing away all those sweatshirts and jogging pants. Be scared world because there's a new Julian Hart in town." I declared.

"Um.. okay? Let me just grab my purse." She said. Her face still plastered with shock and anxiety.

Oh, no! What am I saying? I hate shopping. I love wearing sweatshirts and jogging pants. Who am I kidding? I can't do this! It's not too late to back out! Run, Jules! Run to your room and shut the door and never go out!

"Jules, come on! Let's go!" Nadine, excitedly called out. Well, there's no more backing out.

"I'm coming!" I called out, immediately regretting my decision.

Okay. Someone kill me now! I can't take this anymore. We've been shopping for three whole hours! I even missed an episode of Pretty Little Liars just to be in this mall! Someone please grab and knife and stab it in my heart. Please! I can't take any of this any much longer!

"Come on, Jules! We've just finished shopping on the first floor. Just two more left!" Nadine, excitedly chirped.

Someone kill me now!

"Stop complaining, you slowpoke. At least you don't have to carry all those bags." She snapped while grabbing my arm and dragging my towards the nearest lift.

Nadine, being the ever- so- charming- princess, somehow "convinced" a random stranger to carry our shopping bags for us. A complete stranger! And what's shocking was that he agreed! I'd never be able to fully understand how a male's brain functions.

"Thank you so much, Allen. If you ever need help with anything, absolutely anything, just give me a call, okay? Bye." Nadine said to the "stranger" who carried our bags before adding in a quick wink and closing the door behind her.

"Well, I don't think that kind of 'anything' is something I'd be doing in the future. You nasty!" I shuddered in disgust.

"Relax, Jules! I didn't even give him my number. Geesh... at least he was kind enough to drive us home." She said while sitting on the couch and placing her feet on top of the table.

"It's still disturbing. But thanks anyway. Thanks for doing this for me, Nadine. You're the best." I said while grabbing the bags and hauling them towards my room.

"Are you sure you're doing this just to get back at him, Jules? Do you really want to  do this?" She asked, not even bothering to look away from the TV screen.

"Yeah... I guess so." I said.

"Then I've got a plan. We're going to a party. Tonight. No questions asked. Now shoo! I have to catch up with some PLL before getting you dressed up." She replied, sounding a bit excited.

First shopping. Now a party? The last party I've been to was a birthday party! Mind you, that was 10 years ago! I can't do this! What's happening to me? This isn't the real me? Just calm down, Jules. This is for revenge. This is for revenge.

"Woo! Isn't this great, Jules?" Nadine shouted before downing another shot of alcohol. Loud music was blaring inside the house. Couples were all over each other. People were actually stripping in the middle of the dance floor. Stripping!

"Who's party is this again?" I asked her.

"I'm not sure but it's one of the jocks. He must be somewhere around here." She said, trying to spot him in the crowd of horny teenagers.

"I'm gonna go pee." I told her, getting up from the kitchen counter and headed towards the bathroom.

So this was what high school parties look like. Well, I'd rather spend my Friday night in my grandma's house rather than be here. At least Grandma bakes some good cookies. I don't see why these people like to go to parties. It's not even fun, at all! As I opened the bathroom door, I saw a couple who were half naked making out while leaning on the bathroom wall.

"Oops, sorry." I muttered, clearly traumatized from what I've seen.

"Jules?" A familiar voice called out.

I turned around and saw that the guy who was making out in the bathroom was Maxon. That freak! He cheated on me? The nerve of some people!

"Get away from me, Maxon. We're not even dating anymore." I screamed, trying to hold back my tears.

"Look, I never cheated on you while we were dating, Jules." He said.

"Tell that to someone who cares." I retorted before stomping on his foot and leaving him in the dark hallway. I started making my way out of the house as quickly as I could. I promised myself I wouldn't cry anymore because of him but that promise was turning harder and harder.

I didn't want to worry Nadine so I slowly made my home. Besides, it was just five blocks away, long enough to make me forget about what just happened. I slowly made my way along the dark streets. It was the middle of the night so I doubted that anyone would still be up and lurking in these streets.

"Ryan Summers. You're dead." Some drunk guy hollered from the next street.

I slowly peeked from the corner and saw that I was behind the drunk guy. He was holding a baseball bat and advancing towards Ryan. I can't just let him die there! He'll see me when he finishes with Ryan! I didn't know which side of me pushed me to grab a wrench and conk it on the guy's head as hard as I can.

"Run!" I yelled while grabbing Ryan's hand and running as fast as I could towards my flat.

"Didn't know you had that in you, Julia." He said while running beside me.

"I didn't know that too." I replied, feeling good that I had saved both our lives.

"Besides, what were you doing in the middle of a dark alley?" I asked him.

"I was running away from him. Duh?" He said calmly, as if it was a regular occurrence in his life.

"I believe that happens to you a lot. Huh?" I asked while slowing down our pace because we were far from the alley and I was also getting a bit tired.

"I guess so." He said.

"You better start heading home now." I said when we reached in front of my flat.

"I think I'd rather stay the night here. You wouldn't want to let me walk home alone in the dark while I'm wounded and bloody, will you?" He asked innocently, trying to guilt trip me into letting him stay.

"Um... I'm pretty sure you'll do okay." I answered, not wanting him to stay the night in our flat. Besides, what would Nadine think of when she comes home in the middle of the night and sees our school player crashing in our apartment while he's bloody.

"Come on. Just one night, Julia." He reasoned.

"Alright. Come on." I answered. I hate myself.
