Damon Queen's Penthouse- The Day Of Natalie's Death
"Damon..."
Suddenly he turned his flawless face towards me, making butterflies dance in my stomach. His emerald eyes, slowly meeting mine as he tried to fight a small smirk. He looked happy to see me.
"Coffee?" I asked, gesturing to the second cup in my hand. I took a few steps towards his desk and he straightened his back on his long chair. He opened his mouth to say something but I interrupted him straight away.
"Black. Extra sugar, no cream." He smiled and I bit my lip looking away from his amused look. I placed the coffee on his desk and noticed he had a lot of paperwork. I smiled and got ready to leave.
"Natalie?" He called my name and I looked deeply into his eyes.
"Yes?"
"I think I'll be done by 5, do you wanna maybe... grab some dinner after work on our way home?" I could tell it was hard for him to ask me this and it made my heart melt.
"Of course, see you." I said and before leaving the room, I swear I saw his lips form into a smile.
The clock was ticking, "Make your choice, Natalie..."
"Damon! Don't you dare!" I screamed as he threw me into his pool. The water was as always, warm and relaxing, but not so nice with all these clothes on.
"What the hell, Damon!" I shouted angrily as I resurfaced.
"I thought you needed to cool down," he said with a smirk and I started to climb out of the pool.
As he turned his back, I quickly pushed him into the pool with all my strength, but unfortunately he managed to grab me before we both fell back into the water.
As we both resurfaced, his hair were flat and covered his handsome face, which made me burst into laughter. I could tell he was surprised, amused even. For a minute, our eyes locked together, and I swear it's like my anger disappeared within seconds.
"You know can't stay here. You need to hurry up. Make a decision!"
"Damon, I don't know if I look good in this.."
It's the night of the charity gala.
"What are you talking about? Let me see,"
"No hold on I'm coming out." I took one last deep breath, or the breath I managed to get through my tight corset. It wasn't the dress, it was me on the dress. It was really beautiful though, a deep red that complimented my eye shadow and lipstick.
I walked out of the door, and that's when I couldn't breathe at all. Damon... He looked so fucking handsome, my knees felt weak and I could smell his amazing cologne. He looked so perfect... I noticed the small red rose on his blazer, and that it was exactly the same red as my dress. Our eyes met and I had no idea what he felt, probably disappointed that he spent so much on a dress that looks so bad on me.
Then I felt his big hand on my waist turning me around towards the full body mirror. Maybe I don't look so bad after all...
Then I felt something cold on my neck, and saw the most beautiful necklace ever.
"Try not to lose it. I payed a lot for these diamonds."
"They're diamonds?" I asked excitedly and he nodded.I turned around and looked into his eyes.
"Why, Damon? Why did you buy me all this?"
"You are my plus one tonight, I can't have you looking anything less than perfect."
"And? Have I reached your standards?" I asked, not sure if I wanted to know the answer.
