Chapter 1

This is a short introduction to my new book, hope y'all like this. Please give me feedback, I wanna know what my readers think. Lots of love, Avi.

So many thoughts went through my head as the black cab takes me through the streets of London. I had talked to a good friend of mine and he knew of someone in need of a roommate, I was looking for a home and that's where I was going now, to see if this would be my new home.

The driver pulls over in front of a dull grey building, I pay him and hop out of the back of the cab. I look up next to a wooden door are the numbers 221b. I knock and the door swings open immediately.

A tall girl with wild brown looks me up and down as if searching for something.

"Yes you'll do fine" she says. She swerves around back into the hall leaving the door open.

"I'm sorry what?" I call after her

"I said you'll do fine, did you not hear me, now come in I'll show you your quarters" she calls right back

She jumps up the stairs, I follow her up. At the top there are three rooms, two of which I presume are bed rooms and the middle one a bathroom.

"That's my room" she point to the one on the far right. 

All of a sudden horrid stench floats over to us, I block my nose but before I can ask what it is my potential roommate is off.

"It's ready" she cheers

She comes back out with a plastic bag full of a foul green substance.

"What is that" I ask

"It's a dissolved hand in some silver nitrate" she says as if it explains everything.

"A what?" I ask once more still confused

"A hand, are you really that dull, maybe I should review my decision about our partnership" she shakes her head in annoyance.

"Look, I don't even know if I want to be your roommate sorry, I don't even know your name" I say looking for answers.

"My name is Sherlock Holmes, but you can call me Sherryl"
