Midnight Moon
Chapter 1:
I couldn't control myself anymore at least, not here, not now. Headed toward the back door, I quickly threw it open and ran outside, managing to peel away every shred of clothing from my body before the change could take place. I could feel each individual bone pop to accommodate my new size along with the white-striped fur now sprouting from my back, making a beeline for the rest of my body. My wolf, Kala, desperately wanted to come out and play. Despite how strongly I felt against it, I refused to deny her one of life's simple pleasures, especially if it is something we can both enjoy. She is not a caged animal that needs to be punished; she deserves to be set free.
My heart-rate went into overdrive as it worked to continuously pump blood throughout my body, while my senses were rapidly increasing. Throughout the whole process, I was constantly being thrown into a world of sheer bliss and my wolf purred in response. Automatically, I threw my head back in ecstasy and howled to show Luna (the moon) my appreciation.
When you are a werewolf, you experience both pain and pleasure during the shift, the feeling becomes so intense that I often can't contain myself. However, during your first change, around ten, you feel as if something is clawing at your insides and if not perform correctly, the pain along with the will of the wolf can kill you from the inside out, rendering you helpless mid-shift. Overall, it is a painful experience that becomes extremely pleasurable over time and becomes seen as more of a gift than a curse. Sadly, for me, I can't say the same.
Satisfied and now on all four paws, I dashed through the woods with a big lopsided grin plastered upon my face and slowly let the darkness overtake me. Finally, I have become one with the Earth and my wolf has become one with the wind. Together we ran in sync to our favorite place, next to the Johnson's Lake House, Lake Daemon, to stare out onto the land. Lush, green rolling hills surrounded me along with the sweet smelling aroma of flowers. Happily, I decided to tread over to the lake to take a look at my reflection. Hollow, light brown eyes stared back at me from the water along with a white, shiny fur coat... Always a reminder of who I once was, before I was banned from the pack.
What could I have done that was so horrible? Nothing.
My lineage was enough for me to be considered not worthy of any place in the pack, out of fear that I would become like my father. Sometimes, my eyes would flash to blue\/grey when I get angry, never letting me forget who I am. Supposedly, there was a prophecy written about me when I was younger, but now it doesn't matter because I have no plans to return to Moon Fire Pack anytime soon. I refuse to and there's no way in hell I will be going back, especially with Alistair Michaels as Alpha.
The day we found out we were mated, I looked upon him with so much love and longing. Alistair was my love and my destiny until he said three little dreaded words that would end any mate's dream of ever having a family
"I
REJECT
YOU."
And so mote it be.
