(Y/N)'s POV:
It was another ordinary day, the sun was shining, gentle breeze was blowing... Yep just another ordinary day......
Unless your me.
Hi, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), and out of everyone in my own family, I still haven't found my soulmate. My parents find this disappointing, and my little brother brags about how he has his soulmate already, just to rub it in my face.
You see, so far, everyone else in my family has found their soulmate anywheres between the ages of 9 and15. I'm currently 18, and no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to find whoever I'm destined to be with..... I can't see any colour, and my brother also brags about how wonderful it is to be able to see all these beautiful and different colours, and yet I have nothing aside from the monotone shades of black white and grey.
I sigh at those moments flashing through my head, as I slowly begin to descend my stairs, only to hear my parents talking in the kitchen. "-N)'s a disgrace to this family, she has failed to keep the family tradition alive... she hasn't found her soulmate, nor do I believe she will ever." I heard the sound of my fathers voice, the words coming out cold.
"Honey, please! She's just a little different, so what? I know she will find her soulmate soon! I can feel it." My mother said in my defence.
"God dammit woman! Why are you being so dead set on this failure child!? She hasn't amounted to anything!" My father yelled.
Those words hit me like stones, and I slowly sat down at the top of the stairs, tears beginning to well up in my eyes.
"She has amounted many things! Your just blind to it! Look! Take this as an example!" My mother paused, and I heard the sound of paper rustling. "She has become a wonderful artist, she can't see colours yet, and look at the perfection of it!" My mother yelled, clearly angered by my fathers words.
"You call this perfection!? ITS A DAMN F@$*ING SKELETON! SHE IS OBSESSED WITH DRAWING THIS ONE F&6@ING THING, WHEN SHE KNOWS OUR CLEAR DISLIKING OF MONSTERS!" My father screamed, cursing.
"Your Disliking of monsters." My mother said much more quietly.
"What?" My father questioned.
"I said, 'Your Disliking of monsters.' You are the only one in this household that doesn't except them! All because your so bent on tradition, and how things used to be." My mother snapped.
I smirked a little at this. But after that, everything went silent.
"Hone-" Began my mother before I heard a slap, and then my father turning around. "If you wish to disrespect me (M/N), then I shall take matters into my own hands." He stated coldly.
"What do you mean?"
"If you won't help me get rid of that failure, then I'll have to do it myself."
After hearing that, fear coursed through my body. "Wh-what...? Does that mean.... h-he's gonna...?" I quietly questioned aloud.
"(F/N)! PUT DOWN THE KNIFE!" My mother screamed scared. "SHUT UP WOMAN! THAT GIRL IS GOING NOW! WEATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" And with that I heard my father push my mother, then I heard his footsteps head towards the stairs, and I panicked. I shot up from sitting, and dashed to my room. I closed the door behind me, locking its and placing a chair in front of the door, trying to prevent anything from happening.
