The door to Dylans office opened suddenly as Sam came strolling in.

"Knock, knock."

She said lightly, trying to bring with her some spirit. Dylan glanced over.

"You're supposed to actually Knock."

His blunt grumble of words made Sam roll her eyes as she stepped back, knocking on the door before closing it and leaning herself against it.

"What do you want Sam?"

"We're all staying for the night to be here for Robyn and Glen. I was wondering if I could stay here?"

"Why? Still scared of the dark and don't want anyone to know?"

He dug at her.

"I didn't come in here to fight, Dylan."

"Okay, yeah, sure. I need a coffee."

Sam stepped to one side as Dylan stood up and left through the door, closing it behind himself and fading down the corridor. On his return shortly later, opening the door he was stumped by a mass of blankets on the floor which had been formed into two vague bed shapes. He looked at Sam, raising a brow.

"Absolutely not."

He said, taking the cup he was holding to his lips.

"It's not like we are sleeping together. You're about five foot away from me."

Sam replied, already sat on top of the blue blankets, one wrapped around her shoulders. Dylan shook his head, failing to pull together a sentence as he closed the office door and rested across the seats outside, placing his drink underneath them. Morning came faster than expected. Dylan sat up, letting out a heavy breath, stretching slightly before standing up and heading back inside his office after gently knocking on the door. Sam was just folding up the blankets.

"Morning."

She said with a smile as Dylan sat at his desk, attempting to straighten out some of the creases in his shirt caused by the sleeping conditions.

"Dylan?"

"Yes, I heard you, good morning."

"You don't have to be like this with me and you know it."

"I'm not being anything."

"You're being- Dylan."

"There we go then, just being myself."

Sam threw down the blanket onto the pile she had created.

"I fell in love with a Doctor. A brilliant, amazing, Doctor. And once, even just for a moment I know he loved me too. We both made mistakes, perhaps mine worse than his but no matter the attempts I have made to try and solve things he just wont let me in."

"You're not being smart, Sam. I wasn't the one who cheated."

He stood up to close the door as Noel came into the frame.

"Oh, sorry, am I interupting?"

Noel asked, Dylan looked at Sam, then at Noel who was eyeing the blankets.

"Noel, was there something you needed?"

Asked Dylan, one hand on the door. Noel looked at Sam again.

"This is ridiculous. Whatever you're thinking is wrong and she was just leaving, weren't you Sam?"

Before Sam could defend the situation Noel was brought back to his original trail of thought and pointed at Dylan.

"Glen passed last night-"

His sentence broke by Dylan brushing past him quite abruptly to leave as Sam sighed.

"Give us a hand with these blankets Noel."

Dylan found himself in the staff room, alone at first twiddling his sobriety token between his fingers as he listened to the clock tick in the background. Two nurses came in, soft spoken between them as they leaned against the sink counters in conversation that Dylan couldn't quite work out what was being said as he clasped his fist around the token to conceal it, the clock still ticking in his ears as one of the nurses let out a chuckle. He was brought back to the room by a cup hitting the counter and a spoon clanging around the brim. Sam came in as the nurses left.

"Do you want a coffee?"

She said, pulling up two cups.

"Can you not just leave me alone for five minutes? No, I don't want your coffee Sam and now everyone is talking about how you slept in my office because they are alluded by this idea that something must of happened between us."

"Dylan, no one is talking about anything."

"Why exactly did you want to stay?"

"Well I was hoping you was going to stay with me and talk."

"There is nothing to talk about."

He left swiftly.
