DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN PERCY JACKSON, OR HEROES OF OLYMPUS. CAMP HALF BLOOD, THE SATYRS, AND THE GENERAL IDEA OF DEMIGODS GOING TO CAMP, IS NOT MINE. THE CHARACTERS ARE, UNLESS MENTIONED SPECIFICALLY OTHERWISE. ALSO NONE OF THE PICTURES ARE MINE, THEY WERE ON GOOGLE.

"Come ON! Please?! I'll do my homework LATER!!!" This is how most afternoons with my little personal annoyance started. I like to call him Thing 1, because he is the number one annoyance, in my life. Save for the whole being human thing. Technically though, his name is Leon.

"No! You need to do your homework NOW or do you want your mother dearest to come home to your being in time out cuz you wouldn't do it!"

"UGH! Fine, but only today's which is a page!!" He makes a big show of going to his room and 'firmly closing' the door behind him.

"As long as that works for your mother." Now normally I am not so loud, but I was seriously irritated by this point because I had to pick the little twerp up from school and deal with his whining all the freaking way home. That being said, he can be the sweetest thing (they are rare minutes, but they happen.) I actually do care for him the way an older sister would like her little brother. 'Nobody gets to hurt him but me.'

That sort of thing, but sadly we aren't blood related, so I can't ACTUALLY pound his head in without facing some sort of grounding at the very best. His mom and my mom are essentially b-f-f's from collage and his dad actually met both of them at the same time (courtesy of walking into a tent asking for help or something like that.) Basically they (plus another of their friends who isn't exactly relevant at the moment) are this super tight knit group, right?

Well, that means that us poor kids (Leon and I) get to grow up together, I get to babysit him without any-sort of pay (food included) and he gets to hate me most of the time and then call me his best friend the rest of the time. I really don't get that kid. So, that is the back story to me and Thing 1 and how we wound up cooped up in his house for the afternoon (which by the way reeks of animals because they have four cats, and a dog; as well as no sense of smell apparently.)

_________________________________________________________

brr-ring! ku-thunk. "Max! Its unlocked!" I was currently in the kitchen getting some water and heard the door open. Time to chew out Thing 2.  "HOW many times do I have to tell you- You aren't Max. " I came out of the kitchen and standing there, inside the door, was... Ty?

"Ty, what the freak are you doing ... here" He stepped aside and standing there was what appeared to be a uhm... five year old kid? What on earth? Please tell me I am not babysitting central... But why is Ty, who goes to the local schools and should still be there right now, here? He is like super good kid/book nerd if we want to use labels.

By the way, Ty is Max's older brother, he is, as previously stated, a major book worm, and he almost always can be seen at the computer, doing homework, or reading a book. So now Ty (short for Tyler) looks up and grimaces. "He says he needed to find you two. I skipped class for this and am risking detention. Its an urgent matter."

Okay, pardon my language, but my first thought at this was- Oh sh!t! How many times have we been told not to let kids into the house when we are home alone?! Much less STRANGERS!! Okay, I know you probably think I am crazy by now. 'Its just a little kid right?' Little kids can be the worst! I have seen enough tv shows and read enough books to know that they can be soulless little creatures! I investigated the child more closely.

Okay, it is still daytime, he has what appears to be brown curly hair  that is about a half inch above his scalp. He is wearing a "save the world" shirt and he walks with a limp. He is holding a pair of crutches but doesn't seem to want to use them, and he is wearing a pair of baggy (aka- not skinny) jeans with a pair of  sneakers.

His eyes aren't black and it is, as I said, daylight, so he definitely isn't a BEK (Black Eyed Kid- creepy as all get out, if you've never heard of them). He does appear mildly nervous, no wonder why, so he isn't completely soulless. Huh. "Whats his name?"

The kid looks up for the first time and speaks. "My name is irrelevant right now. May I please speak with Leon Holmes?" WHAT THE HECK! How does he know Thing 1...w-wait a second, don't freak, maybe he's a friend from school.

"Sorry, but Leon is currently unavailable. He is working on his homework, maybe he can come hang out later?"

"We need to speak to him now. Believe me if it wasn't important I wouldn't have bothered skipping class." I look at Ty in surprise. Neither him or the kid look like they're joking. So whats going on? I hear a noise outside the door. I see Max standing there.

I look at the now trio. "All of you come inside. Close the door, sit at the couch." I chunk a shoe at Leon's door which is conveniently just down the hallway. "Yo twerp! Get out here!" When he doesn't come out in less than a minute I bang on his door. "I MEANT NOW!" He very loudly groans and comes to the door.

"What do you want!" By this point I have already pulled a hairpin from my hair, picked his lock and opened the door. (It was incredibly simple and I used to live here with my mom in that very room, so I know how to unlock it. mwa-ha-ha) . Funny thing, I open it as he approaches so it hits his head. I laugh, like the good sister figure I am and then tell him to move his butt to the living room before I haul him there myself.

"Now that we are all here" I glare at Leon "What are you two here for?" I point at Ty and the odd kid. The kid bleats.. or laughs. I'm pretty sure that was just a messed up laugh.

Ty is the first one to reply. "Well, he says he wants to see Leon." He turns to the kid, "Maybe you should tell them yourself why we are here."

"Um... well, you see... Uh. Can I have a can- er, glass of water? blea he he." I send Max to get everyone waters while the kid continues. "

A/N: So I'm not sure if I should continue this just yet but hopefully it isn't too awful.  I may or may not update it,  and this is actually a pretty good description of after school for the past year. At least with the homework whining etc. This story is pretty much, a really young satyr coming to pick somebody up for delivery to CHB.... that sounded like kidnapping. Oh well. Hopefully it is an enjoyable plot (if I ever get too far on it), it should be more interesting than I am making it sound. lol.

I am, as always, open to suggestions and constructive criticism.

Picture to the right is the "kid" who shows up with Ty.
