The Ocean

It flows and feels as if a lace of velvet,

how it reflects an illusion that blinds,

how deeply mysterious it hides its secrets...

I wonder how long it takes to hit the seabed,

while drowning I feel a lace of seaweed,

which as gentle as a rose petal it wraps around me,

I don't strangle to get free instead a gush of water ice cold hits me,

the lace of seaweed breaks...

Leaving me to drown while it floats up without me...

As I hit the seabed soft and sandy...

I feel as if I'm sinking into quick sand,

I reach out my hand hoping someone would pull me out,

I was wrong...

I hear the sea whispering in it's darkness...

I'm alone... I whisper as I fade away...
