Pretty Vs. Player
Chapter 1
Mia’s POV
“Narwhals narwhals swimming in the ocean causing a commotion cause they are so awesome!”
“Ah!” I wake up with the narwhal song blasting into my ears. I yanked my ear buds from my ears; I must have slept with my iPod on again…
I pulled myself out of bed. It’s the first day of school today and I’m going to a new high school; Fern Leaf high. I opened up my drawer pulled on a pink t-shirt and jeans and decided to get ready for school.
Ah! Where’s my schoolbag! Well I’m stupid it’s sitting right here on my bed. Well time to head off to school. I pull on a sweater and head for the door.
As I get on the bus I see there are no seats.
“Hey, you can sit here.” A girl said patting the seat beside her.
I sit down beside her.
"You new here?" The girl asked.
"Yeah." I replied.
"If you think not finding a seat on the bus sucks, just wait till we get to school." She said with a laugh.
"My name's Mia." I said.
"And i'm Amanda." She replied.
We talked untill we got to school. When the bus pulled up to the school everyone got off and filled the hallways.
Amanda went to find her class and I was left alone. Great. How will I know where to go.
I wandered arround the halls a bit. I feel like a lost puppy!
"Um, are you new here?" Said a guy coming to my rescue.
"Ya, it seems that people are noticing." I said with a giggle.
"Here i'll help you get your schedule." He said.
We went by the office, got my locker number and my schedule. It turns out my locker was far away from where i was earlier.
"So right now you have your lunch period and next you have english. So if you need anything just ask."
"Thanks!" I said.
"Oh, and my name's Jason." He said.
"My name's Mia." I said.
"So if you need anything, uh... You know what to do.." Jason said rushing away.
Huh, what's his problem?
I turned arround and there was a random guy standing behind. Well a cute random guy.
"Um, hi." I said shyly.
"Hey, the name's Drake."
"I'm Mia." I said blushing.
"So me and the guys are hanging arround the lockers by the english class, you wanna comme?" Drake asked.
"Sure, thats where I have to be next." I Said.
Well, aren't I lucky! Hehe
He lead me over to a group of guys. We talked for a bit but were inturrupted by the bell.
"Well we gotta get to class. See ya later Mia." Drake said and walked away.
"Bye." I said.
I went into the classroom and took a seat at the back.
"Hey Mia!" Amanda yelled over from the doorway. Yay! Amanda's in my class, i'll at least know someone.
" Hey Amanda, come sit." I told her.
"Hey, I saw Drake talking to you. What did he want?" Amanda asked.
"Just if i wanted to hang out. But isn't he cute!" I replied.
"Oh no." Amanda said worried.
"What?" I asked.
"Obviously you haven't heard the stories." She said.
"What stories." I asked, clueless of what was going on.
"Well you know how on the bus we saw that group of girls who got pregant?" She started.
"Ya? What about them?" I said.
"Well, there's this guy who likes to take girls to his house after flirting with them for a bit and, you know 'has his way with them' and every girl who's ever done it has regretted it. And most of them got pregnant!" She explained. "And you know what his name is?"
"What?!" I asked, getting annoyed with the conversation.
"Drake Dean. She said. "The biggest player at Fern Leaf high.
"Oh no!" I gasped.
I was just with him! Is that what he was planning on doing to me!? Oh great! And I thought he was cute! The name still echoed in my head. "Drake Dean, the biggest player at Fern Leaf high."
