Chapter 3

We arrived at Dolle's Port were the captain instructed us to head to a seder tree on top of a hill, saying that that's the fastest way to Zaban city were the exam was held this year. 'There is an eavesdropper somewhere here too,' I reminded myself. Leorio suggested looking at the map and I just tagged along. I was getting a lot of looks from the by standards, mostly men. 'It's probably because of my melons, they are quite big even tho I am short.' I sighed. 'I am about 1 meter and 55 centimeters tall, and my bra size is 65G, always had problems with buying right bras, only one shop in town had that size.' I thought back at the times I had to buy them.

"That's weird!" exclaimed Leorio, "Look! Zaban, the place is clearly indicated on this map. It's a big town, it's strange to go to this mountain in the total opposite direction while we could take a bus that takes us directly there." He was really confused, he wondered if the captain pointed us in a wrong direction. I laughed. "What are you laughing at!" he shouted at me and pointed a thinger at me. "First it's rude to point and secondly, this is the hunter's exam do you really think that it would be this easy so we could only take a bus?" I said, "The bus is probably for weeding out people that can't gather information or something." I explained. They looked at me strangely. Until Gon said, "It doesn't matter, I am going to the tree." I patted his head, "I'm going too, I know that that's the right way." I smiled and looked back at the other boys, "So? Are you coming?" Kurapika sighted, "Yes, I trust Gon's instinct." Leorio rubbed his head, "Fine, I am coming too."

Walking took a while, we made small talk on the way. Eventually, we arrived in a what seemed to be an abandoned town. "I don't really like this place, " said Leorio looking around, "There's nobody out here." Gon looked around, "However, there are a lot of people here." Kurapika nodded and said to keep our guard up. I felt around and confirmed what Gon had said, "Yes, there are all seem to be female tho." One of our comrades was really confused, "How do you know all these things?!" he questioned. Kurapika said he could hare breathing and Gon said he can hear cloth scaping too. I said, "I can feel their presence. Leorio tried to hear anything but had to give up because he is a normal guy. I laughed again, "Don't worry they will show themselves soon." As I finished saying that people with masks flowed on the streets in the front was an elderly lady.

"Very interesting..." said the lady. 'Uh, this is the weird no answer quiz.' I thought. "The Exciting quiz of two answers!" yelled the baa-san. I looked at the others and they had perplexed faces. I clapped, why not, the masked people were. The lady asked if we were on our way to the tree, which we confirmed, but I zoned out to think of something else because I knew the answer was silence, 'There is no way I could choose between my son and daughter if I had to choose who would die and who would live.'

A guy who had followed us asked if he could go first. 'Baa-san will let him pass but he will die as soon as he gets out of the town.' And so happen. Leorio yelled that she was mocking us. "What's with that weird quiz?!" He was furious. "Leorio, calm down, trust your instincts, I am sure you'll figure out the right answer." I smiled at him. "Don't tell me you're gonna accept the quiz?!" he asked. I chuckled, "Of course! I know the answer already!" "There is no right answer to this quiz!" he screamed at me, I grinned and patted his shoulder. Even with heals, he was too tall to pat his head, which I wanted to do. Kurapika had wide eyes, 'Seems he figured it out.' I mused. He was about to say something but the old lady stopped him and said we cant converse with each other. The tension in the air was thick, well not around me that seemed bubbly and flowery as I smiled at the older woman.

In the end, we passed and we were shown to an underground tunnel that leads to the tree. We had been walking, I was skipping, for two hours. We were going to meet the navigators there, they are a fun couple if I remember correctly. "What's up with all the monster alert sines?" asked Leorio. "You complain a lot Leorio-san, if the sines are there then there is a reason for that," I told him. He mumbled about unrespectful brats but otherwise shut up.

It was dark when we arrived at a cottage on a hill were the navigators were supposed to live. We knocked on the door, which was answered by a weird noise. Opening the door we saw the couple hurt and a magical beast was holding the wife. Suddenly the monster runs out with her. "MY WIFE!" screamed the insured husband. "Leorio! Treat the husband's injuries, we'll follow them," I instructed, he only nodded in response. We rushed after the two, the darkness seemed not to affect my eyesight, it was as good as in the daytime. Me and Gon were jumping from tree branch to branch chasing the Kiriko. Gon waved his fishing pole at the big rat-like creature, because of the hit the monster released the woman who was caught by Kurapika. "Take care of her!" I shouted. Chasing the beast thro the forest was boring.

We came to a stop on a field. "You two are fast for kids." said the Kiriko. "You green kid, you will pay for hitting me." He lunged forward but Gon just stood his ground. when the monster was inches away from him, I grabbed his hand quickly squeezing until I heard a crack. Gon looked confused and asked, "Say, who are you?" I looked at him, "This is the spouse of the one that you hit love." Gon ohed. "The other two that looked human are their kids." I smiled, "Am I right Kiriko-san. The beast was surprised, "How did you know?" he asked. "You look totally different, besides your voice in more powerful and shrill." Gon pointed out. I just chuckled letting go of the hand that I still had in a death grip. The weird creature started laughing hard and I chuckled along. "Hey, tochan! Come here!" he patted gons head with his other hand. "I have something funny to show you!"

Kurapika and Leorio discussed how they couldn't see any differences between them. Remembering that I hurt the Kiriko I asked, "Hows your hand?" He lifts up his hand and inspected it, "It seems to be broken." "I am sorry, I just got to worked up seeing you charge at my little brother," I apologized, "Let me fix it." I took his wrist and put my other hand on it consecrating my aura in my hand I directed it to heal the wrist and soon enough his bones put themselves back together. "This should do it." I smiled. He rolled his wrist around, "How did you do this?" he asked. I just smiled, "I wonder." "Nee-chan how did you know they were a family and that the ones disguised were their children?" asked Gon innocently. Everyone looked at me for an answer. "I just know," I answered and they sweatdropped.

The navigators took us to a restaurant that had a back room that was a lift to the underground tunnels where the first phase of the exams will start. 'Finally, I can meet some people who I want to creep out,' I laughed. Gon looked at me, "Airisu-nee what are you laughing about?" I hugged him, "Don't worry about it, nee-chan is just being weird." I rubbed my cheek against his.

The doors opened and we stepped out. A lot of ugly and strained faces looked at us. "Waa...So many people, so sad that they are so ugly," I said out loud, "Then again here are some really handsome men too." I chuckled. Angry faces were turned at me. "Airisu-san I don't think it's wise to say such things," said Kurapika. I jumped on him, "Aw...are you cutie concerned about me." "AIrisu please let me go, your breasts are suffocating me," he told me and I let go, seeing him blushing. I laughed again. "Excuse me sirs, miss, here are your number tags." a green been handed us our tags. I got 406. "Thanks, Beans!" I said.
