Dakota's POV

I'd given up on Sadie. I realized she hated me and there was nothing I could do. It was perfectly fine that way, too.

Reid made me realize it, that I couldn't force her to forgive me. But, I should be happy, and I was.

With that being said, we tried not to hang out with them too much. Lacie and I had started to hang out more, not to mention we have new friends.

"I'm so glad you're done with Sadie. She wasn't right for making you feel bad about being happy. Reid's a good guy." I smiled and hugged Lacie tightly.

"Thank you so much. I'm glad we became good friends lately."

"So am I." I sipped on my margarita and watched Reid with the boys. He was fitting in with them, and so was I. "Have you told him that you love him yet?"

"No... I don't know if he's ready for that. We've been together for three months, you know? And I liked him first, for a while now. He's just getting into this. Into being with a guy, I need to give him time." She shrugged.

"Yeah, maybe so. I think you should tell him though. I don't think he'll be as bad as you think." It was my turn now, to shrug. I sighed and poured out the rest of my drink. Reid was drinking his beer. He looked over at me and smiled, winking. I winked back at him and he grinned.

"See. I think it'll be just fine." He walked over to me and pulled me to stand with him.

"Everything good?" I nodded. "The boys told me to tell you to stop gossiping and come over." I rolled my eyes and Lacie laughed.

"You've got some competition Reid. Seems like they like your boy." He laughed and held my waist tightly.

"Of course they do. Look at him, everyone does." I smiled widely and he ruffled up my hair.

"Hey, Reid, I know you're an engineering major and you're great at math. Think you could help me out?"

"Uh, yeah. I should be able to. What're you taking?" I saw Dwight make a notion for me to come over and I walked over.

"What do you want boy?" I asked him and the rest laughed.

"Why're you so mean to me?" He asked me, frowning playfully. "Anyway, you'll hook me up with Lacie?"

"Hmm, I can't promise that. She's got a guy in mind. She's told me he's cute but she hasn't told me who yet. It may be you, but it could be anyone." He nodded.

"So do you think I'm cute?" Dwight asked. He winked at me and the guys laughed.

"In your dreams." I looked back at Lacie and Reid. He gave her her phone and began walking towards us.

"You are a cute guy, Dakota." Jonathan told me. "But, I'm not gay."

"You'd better not be." Reid told him. "Or at least just keep your paws off my boy." We all laughed, but Reid was serious, and I was glad he was.

"Yeah, I've experimented with guys. I know for sure I like girls. You're perfectly fine bro."

"None of you are gay, from what I can see." I said eyeing them. "But it is nice of you to accept me and be so inviting."

"You're a cool dude." Felix said, winking. I was happy he'd become a good friend of ours. He and Reid had become best friends lately. The others nodded. They were a weird group, but as I said, nice nonetheless.

Reid and I left soon. I drove, because I'd only had a little.

"That was fun. It's been a while since I've picked up a drink." He hadn't drank seeing as his father had such a problem with alcohol.
