Prologue

I can't believe this is happening. My family has a prophecy... or should I say a curse. Apparently, he second daughter, every seven generations, turns into a Vampire. And you may be wondering who that lucky girl happens to be? Well, that girl, is me. I am going to turn into a Vampire. This sucks. Pardon the pun.

Now, when I was younger, I read all the Vampire books I could get my hands on - courtesy of the library. My addiction started with the good ol' Twilight saga, then the Vampire Kisses comics and books. Then I got my hands on the House of Night series, Vampire Academy series and Morganville Vampire series. I became obsessed with Vampire books. I even began fanaticizing about being the heroine in some of the books. I became Jessica from Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, Cally from Vamps and Bianca from the Evernight trio. All I wished for was a chance to become a Vampire.

Then I grew older, and soon enough, my Vampire obsession ceased to exist. Oh, but one, lovely, August evening my grandparents and family say me down and told me about the prophecy. My initial reaction was laughter. I just laughed while everyone looked at me with crazed expressions. They also mentioned the fact that I would turn into a Vampire ten days after my birthday. Since my birthday was on the twenty-first of October, I would turn into a Vampire on the night of all things evil; Halloween.

Well anyways, I thought my grandparents were just kidding. No, they weren't. They even had proof. Living, well sorta living, breathing, well sorta breathing, proof. My great - great - great - aunt Natasha, the previous family Vampire, and her husband Claude Orlock. They were both over two hundred years old, but they looked around thirty.

Okay, so, my aunt Natasha told me about Vampires. Their rules, regulations, the royalty and their secret society in New York. She told me about her life, family and friends. My uncle Claude told me about himself and the Vampire school I'd be attending. Oh, and then they told me I was moving in with him - forever.

The whole prospect of becoming a Vampire, I have to admit, was extremely exciting. Yet, at the same time it was heartbreaking. I had to leave my family, friends and life, forever.

Okay, so here it is. I have finally started to rewrite my old, and very first story.
