Chapter 1 - Daniel

      The last 3 weeks of summer felt like forever. Hailey and the others didn't respond to any of my texts, so I had no one to hang out with, and my Dad was on a work trip. I was alone for 3 weeks. Well, I guess I wasn't entirely alone, Tyler, an old friend, invited me to a party. Just letting you know, he is 2 years older than me, so he didn't realize that I've never been to REAL party. I slipped on a off-the-shoulder sweatshirt, jeans, and my converse. When I got there, it was 9:00 pm, and Tyler was already waiting for me. The smell was awful, it was a mix of vomit and sweat. The music was so loud that you could hear it from a mile away. Before we went inside, he told me that I probably shouldn't except any drinks because alcohol can do weird things to you, and if my dad found out that I was drinking, game over. It's not like I was planning on drinking anyway. If I was planning on it, Tyler would shut down that idea really quickly, he's like the big brother I never had.

      As soon as we walked inside I immediately got looks from a lot of guys. There were a lot of winks and lip bites. I felt okay though, I can defend myself, and Tyler can too. This was a very new experience for me, was this normal, do all guys do this? Forget what I said earlier, I did not feel okay. I was honestly ready to leave because of how uncomfortable I was. 

      Right when I had enough, Tyler was leading 3 people over to me. "Ashlyn, these are some of the people that will be going to school with you in a couple of weeks." A tall, muscular man reached his hand out and said "Hi, I'm Daniel, It's nice to meet you". A shook his hand and said "Same here". He smiled softly as he stared into my eyes. He was definitely my kind of guy. "These are my sisters" Daniel said. "Mia, and Emma." They all were dressed in very expensive clothing, and not to be weird, but they were also very very attractive. Although, I can't imagine having two sisters, yikes!

      Not much else happened, Daniel and I talked for a while, and at 12:00 a.m. I decided to go home. But before I went home Daniel put his number in my phone, this might just be the beginning of something. Lets not get our hopes up.

Sorry this chapter was so short, but I'd rather talk about just the party before we send Ashlyn off to school. It will make more sense later.
