Definitely real.

Anyone who knows me remotely well knows I am a dog person.  I had a cat living in my house for three months a while back and I hated every day of it.

Don't get me wrong, I love animals.  If I saw a cat on the side of the road, I would definitely do everything in my power to make sure it was okay...even if it meant bringing the thing home...  (that kinda hurt to say).

Well, anyway.  I don't know what gives in the land of my phone, but I get random calls, texts, and other nonsense from people who own or have owned previous versions of my phone number.  Recently, I got a voicemail asking me to confirm an appointment for a Mary who needed brain surgery on Monday two weeks ago.  Yikes, hope you didn't miss that appointment, Mary...

*Ahem* But yes, cats...
I laughed out loud yesterday when I got the following text message:

We know you love cats just as much as us!
Here's an extra cat fact to celebrate your subscription.
A group of cats is called a clowder.

Very enthusiasm...such cat.

What shall I do?  Well, I'm not going to say no to a bunch of random facts nobody needs to know!  My hobby might as well be spouting fun facts that nobody cares about like
"The fact that scientists think they can call the interstitium its own organ in your body.  Just like your skin wraps around your muscles to protect it; so the interstitium wraps around your internal organs.  Previously scientists thought this was just to protect the organs, but now they're saying it could have a role in the spread of cancer."
or
"Kenny Bakers was not in the R2-D2 suit all the time.  Anytime the robot had a part in conversation, Kenny Baker was in the suit; but when the third roller leg was down, R2 was remotely controlled."
(Star Wars facts are kinda my thing...also MCU facts...I might be a bit of a fangirl...)

Well, here was a fresh role of cat facts that I just can't pass up.  So here are a weeks worth courtesy of Mary who needed brain surgery - or whoever signed me up for this nonsense.

Here's your cat facts fun for today!
Did you know that the first cat show was held in 1871 at the Crystal Palace?  It was
                    purr-fectly wonderful!                                                                                                                            4/02

Cats spend nearly 1/3 of their lives cleaning themselves.                                                      4/03

A cat usually has 12 whiskers on each side.                                                                                  4/04

Suddenly, a disaster struck!  On Thursday night, I was actually waiting for my cat fact...but, nothing happened.  Six-thirty which was the regularly scheduled time came and went.  But still nothing.  The next day:

The Cat Facts server went down yesterday.  Despite the best work in our IT
department, we are just now back up and online.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
Here are yesterday and today's facts.
The domestic cat is a small, typically furry, carnivorous mammal.
The lifespan of a cat in the wild is 4-5 years.                                                                                 4/06

                    Vikings favored ginger cats.                                                                                                                 4/07

Cats sleep daily from 12-16 hours.                                                                                                    4/08

That, my friends, is a week and a day's worth of feline trivia by Cat Facts.

After a bit of research, I have found that it is a free service and you can get texts up to three times a day.  Catfactstexts.com is your place to get hooked up to this free online service...if you're into that sort of thing.  As for me,
