A/N:

EDIT: I want to apologize ahead of time for any grammar or spelling mistakes. Most of this chapter was written late at night, therefore I was very tired. And, the fact that I'm doing most of this off of my phone doesn't help much.

Please have some patience with me. I'll fix the mistakes as I notice them.

Thanks guys!

Hey, all! I've got a new chapter for you! And within a month of the first one, too! Whoohoo! XD

Anyways, I've spent quiet a while on this one! I tried to get in at least ten minutes of writing a night since the first post. I know that doesn't sound like much, but believe me, it is. I've been SOOOO busy this summer, with friends and family and doctor appointments... I even went to a sleep center for sleep and nap testing. XD

Turns out I've got major signs of narcolepsy.

It actually makes a lot of sense, lol. XD

Anyways... on with the chapter!

Enjoy~!

o.o.o.o.o

It was late into the evening before violet eyes reopened, and Yuugi was forced back into the waking world. He grumbled and whined tiredly to himself, wishing to just close his eyes again and drift back to unconsciousness, but the undeniable, restless tingling in his limbs proved to him that any attempts would be in vain.

What had woken him up, anyways?

Bzzt, bzzt.

His dark eyes flew open in surprise as a buzzing sensation overtook the upper half of his left leg. He fished a hand through the pocket of his jeans, before grabbing the offending item. It was smallish, rectangular, and just below the length of his hand. Fingers curled with mild irritation over the smartphone. He pressed the power button at the object's side, seeing that the time was now just past six-thirty in the evening. How long had he been asleep for? He hadn't even bothered to check the time when he first arrived at his grandfather's home...

He unlocked the screen, typing in the pin number quickly, checking what exactly had made his cellphone spring to life. He blinked his bleary, sleep-crusted eyes, stifling a yawn with one hand as he saw a text message was to blame. A familiar contact name made a tiny smile show.

Ialu Asim.

He opened the message quickly, eager to speak to his uncle. He was the older brother of his father, Bakari, and the only uncle Yuugi and his twin, Heba, had. He hadn't seen the man in several years - since he was twelve, if he recalled correctly, but the two often spoke through written letters, text messaging, or phone calls. Yuugi remembered his uncle as a kind, caring, and supportive man. He had always been the one he and his brother went to when their parents were arguing, especially towards the end of their marriage. He would always come up with new ways to cheer up and play with his nephews, and often spoiled them with gifts of sweets or toys.

Yuugi's enthusiasm dimmed slightly at the thought of his family's separation. When Heba and Yuugi were young, possibly... around the age of ten, the two had been in a horrid accident.
