Cordelia's POV
Two days till her birthday
Wednesday lunchtime
Jai came into school with a huge bruise on his left cheek. He hasn't had a fight for a while as far as I was aware. If it was a big fight then news would've travelled fast. Obviously not.
"What you thinking about?" Alix asks. She's a new girl who we've accepted into our group of friends. That makes it sound like she had to audition. She didn't. She is very nice and I like her hair. It's electric blue but she suits it. Strange huh?
"Nothing," I sigh. Jai enters the cafeteria, followed by Beau. Luke was hanging out with the football team earlier. "I'll be back in a minute."
I get up off the chair and walk towards jai and beau. They both look up, a nervous expression washes across their faces. Luke enters the cafeteria and gives both jai and beau a glare. I'm confused?
"What's going on with you guys?" I ask, standing next to a very nervous beau. "What happened to your face?"
"I, uh, walked into a, uh, door. Yes a door. This morning. Yeah. Aha. Stupid jai," he stutters. A fake smile crosses his face as I raise my eyebrows.
"Sup?" Luke walks over to us and yet again, glares at his brothers. "did he tell you what he's done to his face?"
"Yeah," I sigh.
"Haha, what idiot hits themselves across the face with a wii remote?" Luke laughs.
I give jai a questioning look. He gives me a shut up facial expression. What?
"Uh, Luke. He walked into a door," I say, raising my eyebrows.
"What?" Luke says, obviously stunned.
"He walked into a door."
"Jai, aha. Did you not listen to me?" Luke glares at him.
"Right. Before you's fight again. Can I tell her the truth?" beau says, stepping in.
"Uh no!" Luke snaps.
"Luke bet up jai because he was jealous that you are closer to jai than him." what?
"What?" I say, shocked. "Jealous much?"
"Shut it," Luke snaps at me. I gasp. his eyes are frightening.
"Oi, don't be a dick!" jai starts, pushing his brother back.
"I kicked your arse last night and I'll kick it again now," Luke starts. Aw fuck.
"What's going on? people are staring" Alix says, walking up to me. Carls and Vicky are clearly enjoying the show as they've sat down and continued to eat their subways. I take a seat and start a conversation.
"So what do we have next?" I ask.
"IM SORRY I AM HOTTER THAN YOU!"
"LUKE, WE ARE TWINS. WE LOOK IDENTICAL YOU SHIT"
haha. This is actually quite amusing.
"I have PE. You have history I think," Vicky smiles, her attention still on the boys.
"WELL AT LEAST IM NOT A MURDERER!" I hear Jai shout.
What?!
"excuse me?" I ask. Luke goes quiet and they stop fighting.
"Yeah you heard me. Wanna know who murdered Danny? this twat Right here." Jai smirks and points at Luke. The cafeteria gasps. I feel tears trickle down my face.
