Marsilia's p.o.v
June 12, 1827
We were all just arriving in Mortem Civitatem, us wealthy folks anyways. It recieved it's name after 10 builders fell off some of the houses in progress, which they died in the process. I wasn't repelled by that, it made me want to come here more actually. It already is gaining history I could tell and it has a pull to me, I know strange.
We had just barely discovered this land, and took months building our new homes here. My home was finally finished about twenty-one days ago, it took a tremendous amount of time to be built. I would see why, a mansion made of stone with over thirty rooms. Of course, as you can tell we are one of the high ranking families, actually we are the ancestors of the first settlers here, they're also still alive so I guess we may count as first-generation? I don't understand that kind of stuff honestly. I had to sit in this horribly cramped carriage, it was so darn hot in here. It took us nearly four hours to reach our new home.
The carriage had stopped and our driver, Theodore held my hand as I stepped out. My new home was breathtaking, I had seen it under construction but now it was a whole new story. I didn't wait for my parents, or siblings I hurried to the door. I opened the humongous wooden double doors and if possible I was even more breathtaking. The main area was just gorgeous, there was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling all crystal. In the far back was a huge fire place surround by black leather couches. The floor was a oak hardwood, freshly polished. The walls were red with these fascinating designs I could not even describe! Just the whole place was breathtaking, I can't even describe everything I see because it would take forever!
As soon as everyone came in and set down our luggage one of our servants told me to come with her to my room. Two others grabbed my eight bags of personal items. I was taken down many halls, I most likely will lose myself here a couple of time and into a room. It was gorgeous, there was a huge bed in the middle which looked beyond comfy, covered with dark green comforters. The floor was just like the main room, oak hardwood and the walls were a pale blue with those same weird designs in the main room. A fireplace was against the wall to my left and to my right I assume was a wash-up room. A full length mirror stood in the far right corner of my room, along with a walk in closet for my clothes. There was a balcony behind my bed which was slightly small, but enough for five people to say the least. I adored my new home.

Three months later~
So many people have moved to this new land, Mortem Civitatem. We have many people who live by us, they are very friendly. One family catches my attention though, the Tavelors. They were the most breathtaking family ever, very kind, and have become close with my family. There's this young man though, Caruis. I guess I may fancy him, he is just so very intelligent and beautiful, and just who my mother and I would find suit for me. They were to have supper with us tonight, something special was happening I assume.
I stood in front of my mirror while my very close friend basically family, Rosanella tightened my corset.
"Mother told me on the way here that tonight was very special. She wanted me to be here for you. Has she yet told you what shall be occurring tonight? I'm quite curious." Rosa spoke curiosity laced in her voice.
"No, I do not have a clue what will be happening Rosa, I would've told you by now if I had. Now hurry up, we need to get you dressed before the Tavelors arrive." I playfully nudged her while lowering my voice.
"Oh stop, we have enough time." Rosanella said between laughs while she went to grab the silky green ruffly dress mother laid out for me.
"I love this dress so dearly, did I ever tell you the story behind it Rosa?" I looked at her as she brought it over.
I stepped into the dress which fit like a glove.
"No, now tell me while we do your hair. Braid or side sweep?" She said with a hint of teasing.
"Oh hush, do a braid." I pushed her lightly as she sat me on a foot rest, and she began the braid.
"Well, mother told me that this was the dress my father proposed to her in. He took her to the lake out back by our old home, and they just talked about their lives. Then he got down on his knee, kissed each finger and gave her this heart clenching speech and asked. Apparently one of her best nights ever, besides the wedding night." I wiggled my eyebrows at her through the mirror which she giggled at.
"That does sound romantic, but now it's my turn." She quickly knotted off my braid with my hair.
We finished getting presentable with her in a dark blue dress, identical to mine, and we both wore white boots, you could not see under our dresses, but we so dearly disliked heels, those wretched things.
Rosanella looked so breathtaking, she was always the one who could snatch up a mans heart by giving her heartbreaking smile. Her long light brown hair was in a braid as well, pulled over her right shoulder. her skin was golden, which went just right with the color of her dress. Her eyes were the lightest brown I've ever seen. She was taller than me, but not by much at all.
I on the other hand could not compare to her beauty, my hair was a darker blonde just a smudge shorter than her hair in length falling just above my bottom, and pulled to the left in my braid. my eyes were darker but not by much either, my skin was paler by much. I looked like a ghost compared to her. we could pass for siblings, I guarantee besides the minor differences.
"Rosa, Marsi darlings they shall be here at any tick, hurry down." My father yelled from what I assume the bottom of the staircase.
"Okay father, be down in a minute." We both hollered back at the same time.
"Guess we shall get going, don't want to make father have a fuss if we're down there after the Tavelors arrive, how impolite would we be?" I winked over at her giggling.
As we descended the staircase to the main entry we heard a carriage, maybe two roll in. I look over at Rosa and I could see the smile slowly creeping onto her face.
"Well hurry you both we don't have all day to watch you goggle at them." My older brother Phillip said tapping our noses as he passed.
"Oh he is surely going to be the death of me Mars I swear!" Rosa said as she watched Phillips retreating figure. You see, Rosa has had this thing for my brother ever since we were kids. I couldn't explain it then, and yet I still cannot. But I'm silently hoping for one of them to admit their feelings for each other they would be the most beautiful couple around.
We walked into the dining room just as we heard the doors open and my mother welcome the Tavelor's. I could feel my body start to hum at the though of Caruis being so close yet so far, my love.
"Mars close your mouth before a fly lands in there!" Rosa gently closed my mouth with her index finger chuckling at me.
"Oh stop Rosa, you probably were worse when you were drooling over Phillip." I winked at her as I took my seat on the right side of the head of the table. Mars sitting down next to me at her usual seat blushing like a tomato.
Footsteps echoed getting louder as they approached the dining room. The grand doors were opened by two servers and in walked my mother and father along with the Tavelor's. My eyes instantly falling on the gorgeous man who swept my heart away without even so much as a sweat trying.
"Hello Marsilia, you look extravagant this evening." He said as he strolled over to my seat kissing my hand.
"Hello Caruis, I can say you look dashing as well this evening. I look forward to your stay here." I gasped, my cheeks heating up at his touch sending sparks through my body.
"Neither can I, I suspect I have a wonderful surprise this evening for you. Shall we?" Caruis looked into my eyes winking before taking a seat across from me.
