Practicing our Magic

*Lila's Pov*

Its been 18 years since the death of the seasonals. My kids are becoming adults and are just like me. Luke has the power of shadows and Luna has vampire powers. Luna was originally a normal human but was kidnapped when she was 2 and returned to us 4 years later and never aged and has gotten the same powers as Vampires have. She has now been aging and is two years younger than Luke when she should have been the oldest.

My life has changed completely since they left earth. My kids are turning on their father and so am I. I'm starting to regret marrying him and so is my wolf. We don't really understand what it was about him that made us want him, but now we don't. Other than that I'm learning how to control my powers. So are my kids. We go outside in the early morning around 5 am just so people don't see what we can do. I don't want to reveal anything about mine or my kid's powers to anyone. Nor do I want my kids going to parties for school without them having full control of their powers. Luke almost gave away the fact that he's not normal.

"Luke, Luna time to head out. We have a long day ahead of us" I yelled out knowing that they will come considering the fact that's a school day. "We don't want to be off schedule or else you'll be late for school."

"Were coming just shut your mouth for a minute" Luna said from behind me while Luke showed up next to me. "Let's go."

We finished practicing and the kids went to school. I went into the woods to my favorite spot. It's a crystal blue lake that reminds me of Winter and is surrounded by tall pine trees with leaves that are as green as Emeralds which makes me think of Spring. In the summer I sometimes see wolf pups playing around in the lake on a hot summer day making me remember Summer and during the fall I see beautiful red, orange, and brown leaves fell off the trees making a picture of Autumn appear in my head.

The lake used to make me cry out in sadness, but now I no longer shed any tears because I know that they are in a better place. I look out at the water, then to the sky.

As I watch the sunset I say "how's it going up there. I hope you're doing well. Luke and Luna are seniors in high school now. Luna is meant to be a sophomore but is very smart so she's a senior. I really miss you guys. I hope one day you'll get to meet my kids. They'd love you girls. Probably as much as I love you." By the time finished speaking I didn't realize that I started crying.

I get up from my spot and head home knowing that it's getting dark and that dinner will be ready soon. As I walk home I dry my tears and think about what we are gonna do tomorrow morning. I really need to get my mind off of practice.

I arrive back to my house to see that half of our house is missing. I'm gone for about 3 hours and this happens. Why do I even bother with them?

"Luna! Luke! What did you two do" I screamed?

"Uhhhh it wasn't our fault. Dad pissed us off again" they said in unison.

"Ugh. Nevermind. Come with me. I want to show you something" I said while walking away.

I lead them to the lake and told them that whenever they had a worry that they could just come here. It was a place that would keep them safe because inside I knew that they would protect them.

"This is where we will be sleeping for the night. Don't destroy it" I said almost yelling at them."This place is special to me."

"Okay," they both said looking down at there feet.

"Once I wake up we are going to start practice and that's final. So go to bed before you get on my nerves" I said trying to calm down.

"Fine" they replied and went off to bed. I soon followed them. I didn't feel like eating after what I saw and neither did my kids. I just hope this was the final time it will happen.
