Timeless [EXO Sehun Fanfic]

11:00 A.M.

Sehun knocked on the door, and pulled opened it. Jungyeon is still sleeping soundly, in the bed.

It's rare that she's waking up late.

Jungyeon usually wake up by eight or the latest, nine.

Sehun silently put down the fruits that he bought and placed them on the table at the side, then took out a book that he brought, and sat down beside her bed, read it.

When it's about noon, a nurse came.

"Miss Hong isn't awake yet?" The nurse asked.

Sehun shook his head slightly.

The nurse frowned. "I came to check on her this morning and she's all fine. Strange. Usually at this time she had woke up. She never sleep over eleven." The nurse mumbled, and closed the door.

Sehun shifted his gaze back to his book. After a while, he closed the book, and look at Jungyeon.

Her eyes were closed, and she's in her usual outfit, the patients clothes.

Sehun stared at her for a while more, and then pick up the book again, continued reading it.

He didn't know what time it is.

The surrounding was silence, with only the sound of the machine.

"Beep ——"

The sudden long beep sound is like an alarm, waking up Sehun and pulling him back. He quickly pressed the button behind the bed, and held out one of his fingers, and placed it under her nostrils.

He felt nothing.

Doctor Kim and the nurses rushed in, as well as Jungyeon's parents who had just arrived the hospital.

"Time of death, 12:32 p.m. Date of death, 29th December 2017. Name, Hong Jungyeon. Age, 17. Sex, Female. Place of death, Seoul First Hospital."

Tears fallen out from Jungyeon's parents' eyes. Jungyeon's mother fell onto the ground, crying. Jungyeon's father kneeled down beside her, hugging his wife and cry as well.

They knew that this day will come. They always thought that they are well prepared for it, but when it happens, no. They still can't accept it.

Sehun didn't know how to react. He just looked for a corner and squat down quietly, burying his head in between his knees.

He had knew from the start that she will leave after all. He thought that there's still days for it, but she left out of all sudden.

She's gone.
