I'm wrecking this evening already, and loving every minute of it.

Virgil sat in his room, arms wrapped around his legs. Panicked tears streamed from his eyes, as the dark room felt as though it was caving in. He barely noticed the sound of someone slipping a note under the door, barely felt the door shake as someone taped a sign on. Too much panic; too much fear.

He shakily reached out and grabbed the note. He read with wide, fearful eyes, and covered his mouth almost automatically. He couldn't let anyone know he was going through this again...

The note was in beautiful handwriting, but the dark trait knew it too well to be impressed. By the time he was done reading, all his eyeshadow had been washed away with his tears. His face was paler than any makeup, and he had to keep his hand over his mouth so as not to make a sound. He scribbled on the back of the letter, and pushed it back out the door; he prayed that would make Him go away.

Logan had gone up to check on Virgil, but he was not expecting this.

Dark cracks spreading rapidly across the walls, each one originating back to the black and purple door of Anxiety's room. Not a sound came from the room itself, but Logan knew he had to be in there. His eyes were drawn to a yellow sign on the door; a taunt. He grabbed it, and went back to the others as fast as possible.

He didn't notice the note below the door. He didn't notice the way the colour began to drain the closer you got to the door. And he certainly didn't notice the figure standing around the corner, grinning like a maniac.

Everything was going according to plan.

Patton was mad.
Morality, when mixed with anger, can become a dangerous mix of justice and rage. Roman and Logan knew this all too well.

Thomas didn't.

"I am going to KILL Him the next time I see him!" Patton screwed up the note and threw it in the bin across the room with such deadly power and accuracy that the bin fell over.

"Patton...breath." Logan put his hand on his friend's shoulder, and tried his best to smile. "We're all mad-"

"I'm not, I'm just confused." Thomas piped in, only to be overlooked by Logic.

"But that's no reason to act without thinking. If you do something wrong, you'll have to carry the guilt with you, remember?" Patton took off his steamed up glasses to revel his damp eyes. He nodded, but didn't say anything. The heat of the moment had left him, and all he had was Logan's calm reasoning and an overwhelming worry for his dark son.

Roman bit his lip. He'd failed to be the hero before...and he never even noticed he was failing again. He slipped out the room unnoticed, and ran to Anxiety's room. No time for tact, he slammed his fists against the black and purple wood.
"Virgil! Open the door this instant!"

The flor began to shake, and the dark cracks began to grow. "Virgil, let me in!" He yelled, pounding as hard as he could. He glanced at the note on the ground, pocketed it, and kept yelling. "Don't make me come in there, Virgil!" The cracks were massive, and it was a wonder the entire mind palace wasn't destroyed. "For god's sake Virgil...f*ck it!" He kicked the door down, breaking it in half. Roman panted for breath, before running over to the dark trait.

"Virgil...Virgil, it's me. Roman. I won't let him hurt you again..."
Anxiety snapped, and turned to face Roman. He had inky black tears staining his face, and his actions were aggressive and harsh. His voice demonic, and his eyes dull, the once beloved side yelled at Roman.

"Run away."

Roman reached out his hand to Virgil, but it was slapped away in anger.

"I said GO! Run away to where I can't hurt you...where HE can't hurt you!"

"Virgil please! I don't want to lose you again-" Roman stuttered, but he was pushed away by the dark trait. The tears kept flowing, but it only seemed to worsen the side's rage.

"You can't save me Roman. This isn't a Disney story! There is no happily ever after!"

"At least tell me what's wrong..."

"I would, but..." a smile, one not belonging to Virgil, crept onto the trait's mouth. His eye flashed a hint of yellow. It suddenly dawned upon Roman that this...this wasn't Virgil! He wasn't...then, it must be...! "You already know, don't you? Now, don't go spoiling the fun for the others~" a searing pain spread across Roman's body as he fell to the floor. He had to try to remember...tell them the truth...get to the others, warn them about Virgil...

As everything faded to darkness, a familiar face taunted him. 'So this...must be what Virgil went through...' he thought, as an all too familiar phrase rang in his ears.

"Loose lips sink ships~"
