I was happy, oh so happy. And I think I still am. At least I think so. I wonder how my parents are doing. I haven't seen them since July Twenty-Fourth, Two Thousand Thirteen. So almost a year. The guys I live with now, well they're not as nice as my parents were. But, at least they feed me, and shelter me. It might not be the nicest shack. But, I've made it home for the past eleven months. I miss them dearly, my parents and my little sister, Addison.
So, you're probably wondering where I am and who takes care of me, right? Well, I hope you like long stories, because I have one.
One day, I was on my way to school, Iwas a sophmore this year, when a car drove by slowly, ever so slowly. I was worried, mother always told me to stay away from strangers, so I quickened my pace. It drove by, but came around again. So, I broke into a jog. It steadied its pace so it was right beside me. So, I started a sprint, it caught up with me. Now, I was truly frightened. The window rolled down, to reveal a plump woman sitting in the drivers seat. I kept my pace trying to go faster than I could. Pushing my limit. She kept up, increasing her speed to match mine, which I saw as unfair since she was in a car and I on foot. Not that this is a game, this is serious. She finally spoke up.
"Hey there sweetcheeks, want a ride to school?" I shook my head making my red braids wiggle near my shoulders. "Oh come on, I don't bite." She chuckled at her own joke. "The name's Judy Wells, may I know yours?"
"Eve Wilkson. And no I do not need a ride." I say rather quickly.
"Now Jeniveve Charleston, it's not polite to lie to newfound friends." She replied. How the hell does she know my name? I thought to myself as I stopped and she stopped her car. A young slimmer woman got out of the miniscule backseat. How did she fit in there? I wondered as she stepped closer to me. Only then did I realize this and started to back away.
"Don't be afraid young one, I do not wish to harm you. But, it will come to that if you do not cooperate. But, you are important to me and my assistant." She nodded toward Judy. "So, a little mishap might occur to little miss Addison, mommy, and daddy. That is if you don't ablige with my demands. Got that?" She said staring into my dark green eyes. She knows Addison's name, how on earth does she know of my family? We are a small family. What. The. Hell. I nodded slowly.
"And what are your 'demands'?" I ask quivering, as frightened as I was I dont't know how I was able to speak. She ran her eyes up and down. Looking me over in my purple dress.
"This is not a place we may talk terms. Come." She said as though I was a dog. She waved a finger to direct me to the passenger seat. I shook my head, and she revealed a pistol tucked nicely between her thigh and pants. "Think of Addison when you answer me." She said and I quickly stepped into the passenger seat. I wasn't going to let my four year old sister die! She has her whole life infront of her. "Good girl. Correct decsion." She said stepping into the minscule backseat. "You may call me Joe."
I nodded, "Do I want to know why you know my name?" It was bugging me; who wouldn't be bugged by a complete stanger knowing your name? "Or Addy's?" That was just making me terrified, why would they know her name? She hasn't even started pre-school yet.
"Research." Judy said noding towards Joe as she started the car.
Some time passed and I said nothing more, we came to a stop about two hours later two towns away from mine. I was slightly shocked by the fact that they had taken me to a nice home in the suburbs. Surrounded by people. "Out." Joe said and opened her own door and stepped out. I opened the door and stepped toward the house. Judy walked ahead of us with dangling keys on her wrist.
She opened the door and we all stepped inside. Joe pointed to a table and I sat, along with both of them. I dropped my backpack on the ground next to the table. "Okay, we may talk 'terms' here." Joe said and I nodded. "Do you remember when you were home alone and your house was broken into?" She asked in a calm soothing voice. I nodded a bit frightened. "Well, Judy over here," She waved toward Judy. "Kind of hired that guy." I was shocked, hell, I almost killed that guy, I hit him with with a flipping chair God knows how many times.
"WHAT THE HELL?! YOU DID THAT?! I WAS SCARED TO DEATH. WHY?!" I yelled quite loudly. Joe shook her head and Judy sighed and put her hand on my balled up fist that was now on the table. I ripped it away.
"Sweetie, you should know by now we're bad people." Judy hissed, glaring into my eyes. "We heard that your family was pretty wealthy, so I hired a guy to check it out. Bt, turns out they had a kick-ass sixteen year old daughter that can use a chair." She chuckled lightly. I shifted, uncomfortable.
"And where do I come in?" I asked quietly. Joe noticed my shifting and got me a glass of water, I thanked her with a nod.
"You come in where we need help in our 'dirty business'." I shook my head rapidly after she said that. "Look you don't actually have to steal anything, that's what we do." I sighed but was still tense. "You just have to kill them with your fists or anything you can find." Nevermind the tenseness was back and worse than ever. I shook my head.
"No I won't do it! They're innocent people! NEVER!" I yelled, quieter than the last outbreak.
"Addison." Joe said that one word and I stopped. I laid my head on the table and started to pound it against it. I brought it up, I can't let her die. She has to live, grow old with some guy. I won't let her die. I thought as I nodded my head. "Correct answer." Joe said, as I burst into tears. She handed me a list and it had names and addresses on it.
They then took me to a house a couple blocks over and taught me how to pick a lock, I entered to find a small entry way, it was early morning so light flooded in. "Larry, did you forget your lunch again?" A woman's voice came from another room. I grabbed a stainless steel step stool as I began to tear up. I walked to the room to where I heard the voice. I saw a beautiful woman reading a book on the couch in what I assumed was the living room.
"I'M SO SORRY!" I yelled in tears and bashed the step stool over her head and she fell to the floor, I walked over to her and repeatedly bashed her head with my make-use weapon. Judy and Joe walked in and smiled at my 'work', more like nightmare. "S-SO S-SORRY!!!" I began to cry over her body, Larry would be a widower now. "I'm sorry..." I kept saying. "Forgive me for my sin." I said and looked toward the heavens. "I'm sorry, Addison, Mom, and Dad." I weeped and fixed her body so she looked peaceful. And I went to the car to wait for Joe and Judy to be done 'taking things'. I weeped and waited, soon they came back and told me I'd be staying in the small shack behind the nice home from before. I just nodded in return.
So I'd like to say I'm sorry in advance if you happen to be on the list. I aplogize, and if you're there Addison, I love you so so much. Tell Mom and Dad I love them too. Bye and sorry again. (A/N I drew her but can't find out how to scan her onto my laptop. SCREW IT SHE IS THE COVER. Later!~)
