Land of Legends

The annoying shadow passes over me once more which was an indicator telling me to get off once more. Instead of ignoring it I decide to stand up and place my Gameboy in my bookbag. Good thing I did it when I did because just I finished and placed my bag on my shoulders Jock Kirk and Cheerleader Hailey came around the corner.
"Hey, this is our spot nerd!" Hailey yells.
"S-Sorry..I was just leaving." I say.
"Good."
I then quickly hightail outta there and onto the sidewalk home. I sigh as I walk, one day..I'll show em'..I decide to turn onto teagarden and go the long way home, it was a nice day after all. As I walk, I pass many green trees, but the grass is even brighter. The cool blue sky had a slight wind blow across the earth. I love spring time. More importantly I love spring break. Spring break.. can't believe it's actually here. When the bell rang today at 3pm I couldn't believe it when my teacher said "have a great spring break". A small smile of relief fills my face. But it truly is spring break. At the end of the teagarden I turn onto Michigan Avenue and go to the third house on the right, my house. As I walk in I realize mom came home from work early, fore there was popcorn all over the couch that wasn't there this morning. I go and throw my backpack onto my bed and head back out, checking the kitchen first. I turn the corner to enter the kitchen and I see my mom sitting there reading a book.
"Hey Mom."
"You're home." She says, putting her book down.
"How was work?"
"Same as always..and school?"
"Not too bad. I still can't believe it's spring break. I'mma go game, if that's okay?"
"Sure go ahead. Oh! Before I forget. A new game came for you today."
"Really? I didn't order any...maybe..where is it?"
"In front of your console."
I nod and jog into the livingroom. I stop in front of my console (which is an Xbox) which had a new game box laying in front of it. I carefully pick up the box and read the title. Land of Legends. Sounds pretty cool. I open the box and take out the disk, inserting it into my console. As it starts to load I grab a controller and go sit on the couch, after cleaning off the popcorn. Once I'm settled the game opens to a screen with words.

I blink a few times, just to make sure I'm reading it right. I then, shurg it off and insert the games I like. Another screen pulls up telling me to wait while it loads. I scoot to the edge of the couch, getting into my gaming position. I smile as I see the screen.
Game loaded.
My smile then fades as I read the next text box.
Prepare for transportation into the game.
Transportation? What does it mean transportation into the game? My question was soon answered as a blue glowing light emits from my t.v. and surrounds me. In one fast motion I start to feel like I'm falling down a rabbit hole. The blue glow looks soft as if its a glowing cloud, I stick my hand out and touch it but it's as if nothing is there. The blue glow then starts to disappear and I see a blue sky..then a tower..then a tree..I look down to see the ground rushing up at me. With fear striking my nerves I scream as the green comes closer. I look around for something to stop my fall, but nothing is close enough. I then close my eyes as I make impact. My scream stops..I slowly open my eyes as the dust clears. I then look to ground under me, it didn't hurt...and..I stand up and see a dent in the ground where I landed. I dented the ground?! I then start freaking out, asking so many questions not knowing what to do. That's when I hear a horses neigh in the distance. I panickly look around, that's when I then turn to a hill of which a brown horse and a rider are galloping down. I then decide the take cover in a nearby bush, listening and waiting for them to pass. As I listen I notice the horse has stopped...and the rider got off.
"Where is it? I thought I saw a shooting star land here.." says a male voice.
Wait...I recognize that voice.
"Damn..did it roll off already?" He says again.
I then slowly glance out from around the bush to see the owner of this voice. It's a man just slightly shorter than me, wearing a blue champion's tunic, tan pants, and brown boots. Behind him, a brown horse with a saddle. I then notice his head turn in my direction. I quickly duck back behind the bush, but I clearly wasn't quick enough.
"Who's there?" He asks.
I then sheepishly stand up and look to the ground.
"Who are you?" He asks.
"Y-Yuna Cooper. And you?"
"W-WHAT?! You don't know who I am?!"
"I mean...you look like this character I played in a video game."
"What's a video game?"
That's when I remember the glowing clouds and how I was just on my couch 5 minutes ago. I then realize what has happened...when the game loaded...I was transported into The Land of Legends.
