As I sat twiddling my fingers in the waiting room, I couldn't help but wonder if this was the life I wanted?

"How you feeling, baby?"

"Like I'm gonna pass out."

"Well, it's a good job you're at the hospital then, isn't it?"

I glared at him. "Now is not the time for your jokes, babe."

"Just trying to lighten the mood." He said, kissing my cheek softly.

After the longest 20 minutes of my life, I was finally called in to see the doctor.

"Miss. Montez, how are we today?"

"A little nervous." I said as I tried to steady my nerves.

"You have no need to be. We'll get you all checked out then you can be on your way."

I sighed deeply as I layed back on the bed. I couldn't be pregnant. The timing isn't right. Plus I'm not ready to be a parent yet.

"This might be a little cold."

She wasn't wrong. I whinsed as she placed the cold gel on my stomach.

As much as I want a family of my own, now is not the right time. There are so many things I want to do, so many places I want to see...

"Well, Miss. Montez, you're not pregnant. It was a false positive."

Her words were a sigh of relief.

A wave of sadness washed over Justin's face as the words left her mouth. I know how much he wanted her to say I was pregnant. It's all we've talked about for the last 4 days since I took that test.

"Thank you for your time, Doctor."

"No problem. I'll leave you to get cleaned up." I nodded as she left the room.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. I guess it just wasn't meant to be this time."

I entwined my hand with his, "Justin, we'll have a family when the time's right, I promise." I said giving him a smile.

We had our whole lives ahead of us, and I wanted to make the most of it before we really settled down with a family, and I know Justin understands that.

Regardless of whether the timings right or not, it doesn't make it any easier when a doctor tells you you're not pregnant.

It's like a piece of you is missing even though it was never there to begin with.

As I hopped off the bed, Justin took my hand in his and kissed me with the most gentlist of kisses.

"What was that for?" I asked, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I love you, Chloe."

"I love you too." I giggled.

...

We didn't have a place of our own yet, so we were staying with Justins parents in their gigantic mansion. A very nice mansion I might add.

Oh to be able to afford a place like that..

A girl can dream.

You see, Justins family was pretty wealthy... I say pretty wealthy, they were minted. But him being the rich kid on the block isn't why I'm with him, despite what people might say. I'm with him because he doesn't brag about his status. To me, he's just like any other normal guy. A sweet, charming, pretty damn, sexy guy.
