Update: I took the time to edit this part and make it more presentable. I also changed the title up from what it was before.
My father was quite a troublesome gambler and calling him such a term would be putting it lightly. He decided that he wanted to drag me along with him to a place called The Devil's casino and the next thing I knew was that my father is gambling away my soul to The Devil himself all because some amazing reward he was promised if he won. I hated how he was so greedy and he was willing to make me pay the price for his foolish decision. I felt as though lost every ounce of care that I had for him and I was giving my father the worst glare I could muster when he decided to take up The Devil's offer. " Only, instead of my soul paying the price. I am willing to trade to you my daughter's! If I lose." The Devil gave him such a demeaning look and casually said," You know, that is a sick proposition, gambling away another's soul as you get to run away Scott free. Have you no remorse? Well, I suppose that since I am The Devil after all I shall accept." The gamble-hungry smirk I saw on my father's face sickened me. The Devil held out a sheet of paper and said," Remember Snake Eyes means that you lose." My father took the pen that was offered to him to seal the terms into place. The Devil smugly offered him the set of dice. I was feeling pretty scared because I didn't want my soul to be took by anyone else and I stared in horror the moment when my father rolled the dice. When it landed it of course had to land on Snake Eyes. It was at that moment I felt swelling up anger brew inside of me and I shouted," HOW COULD YOU?!!" I growled at him deeply as I had tears falling down my face and the next thing I knew was that I must've blacked out because I was holding his arms as he gripped the railing. I could see that it lead to a massive pit of lava and m vision was getting hazy as I couldn't control my actions. I could hear that he was screaming desperately at me to get him back to safety as I looked him dead in the eyes."I'm so sorry sweetie, I wasn't thinking, please forgive me." He pleaded. I let go of his arms and start to slowly started to to remove his fingers and as the last of his fingers finally lost their grip I watched him scream and burn in the lava. I heard gasps from the other people around the casino so I slowly turned to them in an emotionless gaze. They looked at me fearfully and I just walked over to The Devil and said," Just kill me and take my soul already." I looked at him and he had an expression of shock which shifted into a look of concern real quick and the next thing I knew was that he pulled me into a tender hug." Oh you poor little girl, I had no intention of killing you." As I processed that I sobbed into his hug." I killed him. I KILLED HIM! I COULDN'T CONTROL MYSELF!" I exclaimed as The Devil stroked the back of my head." No child. You didn't kill him. I did." I looked up at him confused," What do you mean YOU killed him?" He wiped the tears away from my face with his thumbs." I could've stopped you but I didn't because he had it coming to him anyways. It's my fault that it happened because what happens in my casino is my responsibility. Do you understand? His death isn't on you." He held me closer to him after he said that with such a caring tone then a bit of time passed as he finally cleared his throat and said," I got a surprise for you." I looked at him and I saw him reach the sheet of paper from earlier." Read here." He pointed out with his thumb. I read it to myself in surprise. I looked back at The Devil as more tears threatened to make its way out." H-How?" I asked." Well I had my employee King Dice write it up but I lied when I agreed with taking your soul, I knew that your father wouldn't read through it and just sign it on the spot. Instead of agreeing to give me your soul, he was relinquishing his rights of guardianship over to me. I just had to play it off like I was going to take your soul." This knowledge shook me up. I feel really bad about losing control of myself.' If I had just read the fine print...' I thought to myself as The Devil lifted me up into his arms and hugged me closer and said," From now on you are my daughter and that means that this casino also belongs to you. I guess you could say that you won the bet."
