Have you ever wondered if your identity is worth pursuing here on earth? Or maybe I should ask, what do you think your purpose is? These questions flood my mind everyday.  Obviously God put us here for something......but for what? Most times we can find ourselves comparing our lives with others, hoping to find identity in their race. But what we fail to realize is that every racer has his own lane, nobody shares the same lane. However,  I do think twins come pretty close to it, but even at that, they still can't fulfill the same purpose. If our heads are constantly turned backwards watching the other racers, we will never know when we've reached the finish line and in most cases we pass it without even noticing. Then we find ourselves still racing other people who are well more conditioned to run a longer race. This is where we lose our own race to try and finish someone else's. This leads to an identity crisis because God gave you the tools for your race, he conditioned you for your 100 meter dash. If he wanted you to run that 5k, then he would have prepared you for it. So use what you have ,and rejoice at the potential of your blessing. Don't get me wrong, I struggle to stay in my lane, but I am a working progress and determined to finish the race set before me. Yes, I may fail, I may disappoint people, but in the end ,the only opinion that matters is God.
