I looked at the frighten face of the girl behind the glass. Looking as if she was reaching out for help, though now cold as a statue, she was dead... Waves of shock and horror fell over me, I felt faint. Because I was the girl behind the glass...
I shook and came back to reality, I crumpled to the ground panting.
Stacie gasped and looked worried.
"Omg! Shannon, what happened? Did you see another vision? What did you see!" She said pouring questions onto me.
You see, I see things. Visions—what my friend calls them. In them I always am watching my future from behind a glass barrier, and in this one... it seems that I'm going to die.
I got hold of Stacie's arm and pulled myself up, I hesitated, "I-I don't know if I should tell you."
"What are you talking about? Why not."
    "You-you'd panic."
     "Sounds serious," she said solemnly.
I looked at her worriedly.
Catching my breath, I tell her,"I die."
She sat me down on a park bench, with a new feel of calm stretching across her face.
     "Tell me about it,... please."
I tried to tell her in the most descriptive way possible. I closed my eyes.
I found myself walking out of my house and down the street, I walked into a dark alley. I looked to my side. There was a blurry figure, it killed me. I watch myself as I stiffly fell to the ground. 'Why?' Was the last word that came out of my mouth.
I looked out back to the blurry figure, I was moving uncontrollably. 'What is happening to m-me!' They said crumbling to the ground, sobbing.
I snapped back, and opened my eyes, I told Stacie everything.
"We-we should get you home, you know, some were safe."
I nodded.
My parents weren't home yet so we walked hand-in-hand to her house.

It was getting dark, I called my parents phone and told them where I'm at, they told me I could sleep over, if it was alright with Stacie's mom.
"Mom!" Stacie shrieked, "can Shannon stay the night?"

Just then, the phone rang. I answered it.

"Of course!" Her mom called back, "any time!"

"Can I have Stacie please," Boomed the deep voice of a man.
"In a sec," I said, I handed the phone to Stacie, "it's for you?"
I sat down and listed to Stacie's side of the call.
      "Hello?...yes...oh, um hi...um I dunno...but it's so dark out-...um okay..."
"Who was it?" I asked as she put the phone down.
She looked puzzled.
"It was my dad... He says he wants to meet me."
Stacie's parents are divorced.
     "Are you going to?"
"I dunno' know. My mom says he's crazy in all the wrong ways. She told me that when I was little he kidnaped me, but then he returned me after a year."
"If you do go, I'll come too!"
"No you can't! Remember your vision!"
"I'm not going to let you go by yourself, it's already night time! Just let me tag along. Please?"
"Well I know I can't stop you, but it don't know what I'd do without you, you're my best friend!"
"I know, and if you die, I go down with you"
"And if you die, I'd surely die too."
I smile cheekily, "I'm glad I have a friend I can depend on!"
She cracked a grin, "ok let's go."
     "Wait, what about your mom?"
"I can't tell her, she would never let me."
"Wait a second, then why are you even going."
"I guess I'm kinda scared if I don't. I mean, what if he gets mad and hurts someone."
"Oh, well, wouldn't he hurt you?"
"No I don't think so... He calls me his 'precious'"
"Whoa! Nope, nope, nope, you don't call someone that. That's just too creepy!"
"I know... Well let's go, I don't want to keep him waiting."
I nodded.
Stacie put a sign on her door that said "do not disturb!" so her mom wouldn't come in and find us missing, she's cool like that.
We walked across the street, and walked around a few blocks, through an ally and into an empty courtyard.
"Well this is it..." She says softly.
Suddenly someone punched me hard on the cheek. I spun and fell, mostly from surprise.
"Ow!" I snapped, my eyes watered. I put a hand up to my cheek and felt it burning. I looked up at Stacie. Her hands were trembling, and she looked confused—and afraid.
Then, all of a sudden, Stacie stood up straight, and stiffly walked to a corner. She picked up a knife–which I didn't realise was even there–she started running at me screaming. I screamed too, I put my arms out, I tried to stop her.
I felt the cold blade go in, then out. I couldn't feel myself anymore, I couldn't breath. All I could say was... "Why?"
I get my answer cause, over Stacie's frantic muttering, I heard the deep voice of Stacie's father chuckling, and saying, "Well done. Well done my precious girl, well done..."

It kept going. Even through all the darkness. The words "well done" kept going, followed by the broken voice, which also kept echoing, saying, "What's happening to me..?" ~
