As of right now, I'm sleeping so soundly. All of a sudden, I feel a strange vibration on my bed. I jump a little, responding to the vibration as an earthquake. Oh, its only my phone, waking me up to "Get Dresssed for School" . I thought to myself. I have a few more minutes to catch a little more Z's. So I hit my pillow again. Then, a monster appeared in my dream. It screamed at me, "Tyler get up! You are not going to be late for the bus again and I am not driving you to school again!..." And so on and so on. It took me about 5 minutes to realize that it was no monster yelling at me, but also that I was in no dream. It appeared to be my mom, and sadly enough, in real life. In reaction, I push my upper body up, until I can fully balance myself on my bed. Brushing through my messy dirty blonde hair. "Errrrgh", I reply to my mom's "morning-wake-up call". I walk to my bathroom struggling to get there.
Tripping over my sister's toys everywhere. She's only 4 years old, and a little she-devil she is, but my mom let me pick her name. I chose the name, Alyssa. Alyssa Johns...such a beautiful name attached to a little house breaker.
Anyway, I struggle fix my hair in the mirror. I stare at my hazel-nut colored eyes wishing that I was still my sister's age. I look at my tan six-pack stomach thinking that I need food. Meanwhile, mom is downstairs preparing my lunch. And making breakfast.
After an hour of getting prepared for my first day of school, because of...hair problems. I ran downstairs, getting ready to eat breakfast, but the bus came extra early today, well out felt like it. So, I grabbed whatever my mom had prepared me for lunch today. It seems, I was going to be ready for the bus, finally. As I ran to the bus, I heard a beckoning in my ear. It sounded like a woman and a child screaming, "We love you Tyler!" I thought to myself, Sure you do, but instead I mouthed, "Love you too.", trying to play cool.
I saw a seat open by my friend, Ashley Smith, she was waving at me anxiously to sit by her.
We get a few blocks down, and my biggest enemy enters the bus...Austin Johns. He was the biggest jerk to me. I don't even recall doing anything to him. But he just hates me for something that I did in the past. I mean like, chill, forgive, and forget, dude. He comes to my seat and grunts at me. Then he sits with his friends. They all look at me slapping their stomachs and making a sexual orgasmic sound. I give them one of my Shut the Fuck Up looks. Ashley gives them the same look and they back down. I lay on her shoulder saying thank you. She stares at me with her pretty brown eyes and lays her head on mine and we bump heads laughing.
Finally we're at Gabriel County High School. Home of the Fighting Lions. Ashley and I both jump off the bus heading to the auditorium, which is where the school stage is placed. As we enter, its a very loud crowd of students hanging all around talking, gossiping, and doing whatever high school students do.
We find James Black and Chase Price automatically, or just quicker than we found Jessica Evans, or any more of our friends. James and Chase go on some kind of search party for Jessica while, Ashley and I go to find Ashlynn Thomas and Jasmine Gilmore. "Where are they, I can't see them?" Ashley asks looking over thousands of heads. She's not even that tall, we're almost the same height, but she's a couple more feet higher than me. All I could see was her long brown curly hair in my face, whacking me back and forth. "Um...hey! There's Ashlynn and Jasmine!" I yell hoping that Ashley heard me. She did, surprisingly, because I know that I wouldn't be able to hear her over this crowd. Finally, we got to Ashlynn and Jasmine, and coming up behind them were James and Chase with Jessica. Finally, the 7 hitters were swinging back at it again.
We all hugged, and just as we let go, the first bell had rang to signal us to go to first period. Ashley, Jessica, and I, surprisingly, had all of our classes together. So we headed to first period...Mr. Townsend for Geometry. I've never seen or heard of him before. But...for a teacher he was cute. He looked 19, but was actually 24. Um...I guess that was my hormone mixing up? But why would it tell me that I like a teacher? And why would it tell me that I liked a guy teacher? Am I gay? I don't know. It might just be my hormones. I have to tell Ashley and Jessica about this, after class.
Right after we all sit down, Mr. Townsend told us to stand right back up and to go to the front of the class room. We were all confused, but it cleared up until he said that we will be sitting in Last Name Order. Oh, great I get to sit by my worst enemy...Austin Johns. I hate that we have to sit by each other on the bus, but in here, now that's just ridiculous. I didn't budge to sit right next to him when Mr. Townsend called my name. So Ashley shoved me to my seat.
"Oh, great to see you again, babe.", Austin scoffed sarcastically while chewing his gum. I just rolled my eyes. Thinking to myself, this year is going to be compete hell.
