Last Day of School and the Ceremony...

Mr. Townsend has to wake up earlier than usual, because he has to give out his awards to the senior students this year. So, he shocks me to wake up, as well.

"Why, so early?", I ask sitting up, and barely opening my eyes.

"Because, today is the day that I told you about. Y'know, about the awards."

"Ah. Yeah, I forgot.", I respond, finally waking up. "Did you get the adorable little trophies, last night?"

"Yeah, thanks for reminding me.", he thanks me for once, "Hey, why are you just lying around? Go get ready."

I rush to the bathroom to get dressed.

"And hurry.", he rushes me, I hope this will be worth getting up early.

We skipped breakfast, because it's only 30 minutes until the ceremony starts. Mr. Townsend invited me to skip school today, since it's the last day, and watch the senior ceremony. I took the invite of course, none of my friends wouldn't even be at school today.

We enter the auditorium, where they'll receive their awards, then we'll go home, then come back to see them get their diplomas, but at the football stadium.

The stadium was packed with people. Everyone was spreaded across the home bleachers and the away bleachers. I was sitting next to the box on the home bleachers.

They called everyone in the class of 2014 to come and claim their high school diploma. I felt as if I was going to explode, if I didn't get my diploma, in other words, I can't wait until I get my diploma and get out of this county.

They called Austin's brother, Nate, up to the podium to deliver the annual Senior Speech. He speaked way more intelligent than Austin. "I would love to thank my family...Why won't they just come up here? Come on, ma, dad, Austin, and Larissa."

They all walked onto the stage. I seen Austin eyeballing me. We has a stare down the whole entire time. Suddenly, Nate tugged Austin to try to hug him, but he stumbled. They both fell off the stage.

Everyone laughed. But me. Austin saw everyone moving in laughter, but one person...me. He looked angry, in response, I shrug. It's just another reason for him not yo be angry at me. If he doesn't like that I didn't laugh with everyone he can just go shopping, where the rest of the fucks I give are sold at.

Once everyone stopped laughing, Nate finished his speech.

Austin came to sit next to me. And he said, "Uh...Tyler...I, uh, appreciate you not laughing at me and my brother. And I guess that you have changed. So, I would like to ask for your forgiveness. Please."

"Yes, Austin, I forgive you."

We smiled and chuckled for the rest of the ceremony. So, I guess you can say that we're best friends once again...
