The rich get richer
While the poor get nothing
They're all talking loads
But nobody does something
I hear these wrongs everyday
And it fills me with rage
What happens after that? Uhh nothing
Just another page in this book of emotions
But enough is enough, I won't stay quiet no more
It sickens me
Tell me where's the justice for the boys and girls who hate themselves cause of others?
Where's the justice for the kids who attend the funerals of their own brothers, who were victim to gang violence?
The only thing anybody ever does is blame the government, saying "What are the likes of me and you going to do? It's bigger than us"
Ok, I have a couple of questions for the people that say this, think hard about these for me;
Who normalised earning millions and spending only on themselves, leading to the starvation of millions across the world?
Tell me, who normalised racism, that still exists to this day?
What about the use of drugs, the promotion of gun violence, invading countries, killing innocents?
Tell me, who normalised beating someone who disobeyed you?
Here, let me guess.. It was the people that raised you.
Our forefathers built these governments on lies and deceit, with real progress only arising in recent years.
There you have it folks, the problem is us
(Maybe if thieving wasn't normalised, X would be alive *sighs*)
My intention is not to single out anyone, past or present.
All I'm saying is, THE POWER LIES IN YOU
Know right from wrong and you'll make good decisions with the right intentions.
Heck, maybe if the "guys don't share feelings" trope wasn't normalised, I'd be able to open up....
