First date (A James McVey Imagine)

First date

It was today. The day I was going on a date with the one and only James McVey. He hadn't told me what we were doing or where we were going.

It was an hour before the date and I realised that I should probably be getting ready so I left the living room and made my way upstairs to my bedroom. Hanging in my wardrobe was the dress I bought just yesterday. It was a dark red almost brown skater dress. I placed the dress on and it hugged all my curves and edges. I slipped on the black ballet pumps I had bought. And then went in to the bathroom.

All my makeup was in the bathroom. I decided to do minimal makeup as I never really wore makeup. I simply did some basic eyeliner and red lips and left it there.

I still had twenty minutes before James was picking me up so I relaxed on the sofa watching MTV.

James arrived bang on 7pm. I opened the door to see him in chinos and a shirt. "You look nice James" I commented.

"Not as good as you. You look amazing" He replied making my cheeks turn a lovely shade of tomato red. "Shall we get going then?" I asked trying to get out of this awkward situation at my front door. "Erm yeah let's go. I hope you don't mind walking its only down the road..." He asked and I nodded. "And would you mind closing your eyes too?". I nodded. I trapped my bag, locked the front door, closed my eyes and James took my hand to lead me.

We walked for about 5 minutes and then James came to a halt. "Open" he whispered in to my ear. I opened my eyes to see the most beautiful picnic. The trees surrounding covered in fairy lights. A very traditional picnic basket lay open on the blanket. My jaw dropped. "James this is amazing and so romantic!" I commented.

"You like it then?" James asked.

" I love it!!" I replied, he laughed at my enthusiasm.

We sat for hours talking and eating, mostly laughing though. Then James turned to me and said "Y/N, Will you be my girlfriend?"

"James, Of course I will" I replied with a big smile on my face.

"I love your smile you know" James said. Then his lips clashed with mine. And it felt so right, Like it was meant to happen.

I broke the kiss and whispered to James "I love you".

"I love you too" he replied and reconnected our lips.
