Best Friends Mated

Chapter 1

"RISE AND SHINE BITCH!"

Krista groaned as light flooded her room and the loud screeching voice of her best friend could be heard.

"It's too early..." she moaned as she threw the covers over her head trying to shield out the bright light and Erica's voice.

If there's one thing Krista hates it's being woken up early in the morning. Something Erica loved doing. She would much rather sleep in until 11 or 12. Erica on the other hand...likes to wake up at asinine hours in the morning and wake her up as well.

"Girl. Do you know what today is?! How can you still be in bed?! Aren't you the least bit excited?!?!" Erica exclaims as she throws the covers back revealing a sleepy and pissed off Krista.

"Unless it's the day Johnny Depp is coming to take me away to the Caribbean to live with him and his merry mates, i don't care to be up this early, regardless of the day." Krista moans trying to fight her best friend and cousin off of her.

"Who knows, Krista! Maybe Johnny Depp is a werewolf and is your mate!" She says as she wiggles her eyebrows.

Erica has been excited for this day to come. The months of preparation. The hours upon hours of shopping for the perfect outfits, the entire day yesterday spend at the salon getting their hair cut and colored. She was beyond excited for the ball. She was beyond excited to find her mate and live happily ever after. Krista on the other hand couldn't care any less. She wasn't into parties or getting gussied up. She was much more comfortable in her jeans, fitted t-shirt and comfy sneakers. She rolls her eyes and sighs as she swings her legs off the bed and heads towards the bathroom. She turns on the shower and shuts the door, making sure to lock it before she undressed. As soon as the steaming hot water hits her, she feels at ease. Her muscles relaxing as she enjoys her time alone, since she won't be getting any of that today. Her mind begins to wander. Will she find her mate today? Does she even want a mate? Her entire life she has wanted love but after what has happened, she isn't sure if that's something she still wants.

BANG!

Krista jumps and screams as she hears the pound bang, nearly falling in the shower.

Erica can't help but to laugh at how she startled her.

"Why do you always have to interrupt my alone time, Erica?!"

"You're my best friend." She says as she shrugs and jumps onto the counter top to sit, swinging her legs as she eats a cupcake.

Even though they are best friends, they are complete opposites. Krista is shy and reserved. She likes to be alone. Erica has no sense of personal space. She's loud and fun but a bit obnoxious. Personalities aside, they are still complete opposites. Krista has shorter to medium length dirty blonde hair. She's maybe 105 pounds soaking wet, beautiful blue eyes and a killer body. Erica on the other hand has long brown hair, big boobs, green eyes that tend to change colors depending on what mood she's in or what she's wearing, a body that she claims is fat but in reality, is pretty proportionate. She isn't skinny but she isn't fat. The one thing in common they have is the fact that they both wish they had the others body, and that they both still absolutely love the Backstreet Boys.

"So i figured once you shower, we will go eat breakfast, get dressed and head out to town. Alpha said for all the unmated females to go get their hair and makeup done after lunch." Erica says.

Krista rolls her eyes stepping out of the shower. "Why? You and i both know my hair is stick straight and won't curl. I don't like wearing it up, so an updo is out of the question. You go. I have a book to catch up on." Krista whines. She hates doing girly things.

"Nope. Alpha Melvin's orders! Now go get dressed. Breakfast is ready!!!" Erics says as she leaves the room.

Leaving the bathroom, she walks over to her closet and quickly pulls out a pot of dark blue skinny jeans, a pink fitted t-shirt and her favorite pink and black sneakers and throws her hair up. Sighing as she exits her room.

Today is not going to be fun!
