There was this girl, only 14 years old back in May of 2013. She was kind of short, she had short brown hair, brown eyes, braces, and the most beautiful smile someone could ever see, whether it was a big or small one, that smile could have brightened up anyone’s day; the only thing is that she seemed to be so sad sometimes.
There was a boy who pretended to be someone he really wasn't for a long time; he was 14; the kid that he pretended to be had short, brown hair, blue eyes, braces, and a pretty nice smile. He wasn't so happy himself, nor was he originally who he said he was... but hey, things changed.
It was May 26, 2013, just an ordinary day for most people. At the time, the boy went by "Derek" and he spent his day out with family for a few hours until he came home one day and logged into Facebook. As he started scrolling down his newsfeed, he saw a bunch of sad status' by a girl named Sophia. Now, Derek didn't really know Sophia, but he remembered seeing a picture of her for the first time weeks ago, and he thought to himself she’s the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. Although he didn't know her, he didn't want her to be sad so he spent a few hours thinking about what he should do to try to get her to smile and cheer up a little. As he sat there thinking, about an hour or so went by and he finally thought of what to say; he was way too nervous to post it because he had a tiny crush on her at that point. After about another hour, he finally posted what he wanted to say; "Has anyone else noticed how perfect Sophia Infinity is?" A few minutes she liked the status and called him a cutie, he couldn’t help but smile. Soon after that, Sophia posted a status saying "Has anyone noticed how much of a cutie Jamie Graham is?" And that's how it all began.
Derek was so happy it was a bit weird. After he posted that status they didn't talk until one of Derek's friends, Jordan commented on his status saying "Sophia's mine, Derek, back off." All Derek could do was laugh and argue with her over that, saying Sophia was his, and asked if they could just share. Now, after that he was fighting two people over her, and he wasn't giving up until they all shut up and stopped fighting with him about it. A little after the fight they didn't talk, but the last thing he wanted to do was not become friends with her. He eventually posted on her wall saying "We should be best friends," and she replied with "I was totally thinking the same thing for a while now." As they talked a little that night they gained a pretty good friendship. He was telling her how he was playing Black Ops Zombies, and he got sixty-nine kills, and she told him she was proud of him for that; he was also talking about how he was writing letters and she messed around with him saying "Psshhtt who writes letters anymore" and he responded with "Obviously me :(" and she just called him lame, but he didn't mind. They eventually decided to start inboxing each other because neither of them liked walling that much so he told her he would message her after he got some food but he took too long so she did it instead. From that first message on, their friendship grew.
At the time, Derek had some feelings for a girl and Sophia was always there to help him deal with it when he got upset. Sophia also eventually started getting mad because of how sad he always got and how much she started liking him. He got over the feelings pretty quick, so instead since he started liking her a lot more than he should have, he used it just to mess with her to see if she liked him as much as he liked her.
One day, he pretended that something was wrong and that he's always an option and no one wants him.
Sophia replied with "I'm not going to say anything. Before I make myself look like a groupie. Any girl would kill to be yours, bye."
All he had to say was "Lol, not really."
"Trust me," She said.
"I don't trust people anymore," he said.
She finally just went off, "Can you just open your fucking eyes. You're the definition of what anyone would want. Maybe not to her, but she just wants to mess with your mind and take advantage of you to make herself look wanted by perfect guys. I can’t. Don't reply, because I'm honestly not in the mood to listen to the most perfect person in the universe complain about how one girl doesn’t want you when I do. Bye."
